i guess my point is harry didn't MAKE that manip and Louis said it. If Harry had made that manip I would want an apology and if I remember right, Harry took the headdress picture down in like... 5 minutes? and Louis has said not a single word about using a racial slur. I think Louis needs to address it since unlike the headdress photo, it can't just be taken down. It was said, recorded and it's out there.

again, i think it's safe to assume that because lawyers are involved now, the boys aren't allowed to talk about it until everything gets sorted out. if an apology is coming, it won't be anytime soon and i still maintain that it's not fair for louis to be furiously attacked for his mistake. harry may have taken down the offensive things, but he never said a peep about them. if louis could take the video down i'm sure he would, but unfortunately it's not an option. and if you want to get technical, harry's past mistakes are still out there too, just a quick google search away. so... i guess we can just agree to disagree on this one because clearly we're both set in our beliefs and opinions on the situation and this is getting us nowhere. thank you for speaking out and having the maturity to not be blatantly rude or disrespectful to me in this argument.

okay firstly I didn't CHECK what race you are cause it doesn't really matter, just some people like the view from someone who is being more directly offended but I didn't realize you were black as well. HOWEVER, what on earth has Harry done to offend a culture? I heard briefly about something with a headdress which to me isn't as offensive or bad.

a few years ago, harry RT'd an edit of him in blackface and commented on how cool it was. he also recently changed his icon to a photo of him in a native american headdress, which may not be offensive to you, but it's a sacred item with heavy spiritual meaning for people of native descent, who are deeply offended by it being worn as a simple fashion accessory. this was pointed out to everyone at the time of the incident, but apparently because it's not directly affecting a big enough crowd of fans, it's okay to just let it go once the icon was changed without any verbal acknowledgment.

as a black person i just wanna chime in. he NEEDS to be held accountable because I honestly am sick and tired of people with money getting away with using words that are degrading. I'm fairly confident he didn't mean to say it in a racist way, he wasn't calling someone that word, or directing it, but using that word is still wrong. It is offensive. He needs to apologize because people look up to him and we don't need a generation of racists who think its okay to throw nig around while they blaze

hold up girl i’m black too so please don’t try to use that fact to validate your opinion over mine. i’m sorry that you are so deeply offended by it and as someone who’s sick and tired of the word being used even by POC, i completely understand why. it’s a foul word and nobody should use it, ever. i’d like an apology as well, but i just think that realistically, it’s not going to happen and it’s amazing to me how the fans are able to overlook harry’s racism and cultural appropriation but not louis’. he probably isn’t even allowed to discuss the video at this point or we would’ve heard SOMETHING about it, apology or not, but all the boys are just ignoring or avoiding the subject right now. louis’ use of the word disappointed me too, but i also realize that people make mistakes and i just don’t think it’s cool the way the fandom is completely demonizing him because of it.
