"[About S13E24]. Not only did I watch the episode, but I watched it with Michael. You invited me. We were at your best friend's apartment in Manhattan. Your best friends in the world were there, your wife was there, I was there. There was like some food and you were like: 'I am so happy that you are all here'. And it was en emotional moment for you."

"[About S21E02]. I only went back for one scene in Season 21. Which was when our friend David McCallum passed away. Ducky was gone. Brian Dietzen and Scott Williams had written a scene for me to come in to the autopsy room. And I was really overwhelmed to do that scene and it was tremendous. We knew at that point that we were doing Tony & Ziva, but nobody else knew."
Michael Weatherly
"[About S21E02]. We had a chat about it. It was like: 'Who is going to go back? Is it going to be you or is it going to be me.' Because we could not both show up. Because then there is not Tony and Ziva reunion. So it was very clear that it was Michael."
Cote de Pablo
"[About S7E04, what Gibbs whispers to Ziva]. I had been probably telling Mark at the time that I had been missing my family. And during that moment and he waited, of course, for the camera to be on my face. He got really close to my ear and he said: 'You are home.' Because what he was implying, we are your family. So it was a beautiful moment."

"I had a little moment and I am very good at contextualizing this show, the characters and understanding why certain people behave a certain way so that we can make fun of people's behavior. I am the carrot in front of the donkey for that many times. But I cringe at a couple of things that I was doing. And also some of the wardrobe choices. Again, I understood why Tony DiNozzo would be acting that way and dressing like that."
Michael Weatherly for Off-Duty Podcast
"You are so into the wardrobe. It is not even funny, but I love those pants, how like straight and sort of like slightly wide. They are really cute and I kept on thinking like you looked like a 8-year-old does. That is how cute you looked like playing basketball because of the pants, not because of anything you were doing. Like you were not doing any particular cute. You were playing basketball, your wardrobe make you look like particularly adorable."
Cote de Pablo for Off-Duty Podcast
"There is a scene with Pauley Perrette has like a freaking monologue. All of it is like this gibberish. And I just remember watching and stay like just glued and just oh in amazement. And like: 'What just came out of her mouch with such ease?' And I was like: 'Holy crap, she was so great'. In that particular scene, like just so effortless and so on the money and delivering all of that crazy exposition."
Cote de Pablo for Off-Duty Podcast
"There are very few moments that you get to see character stuff unveil where you really get to see sort of like, who these people are from like a value standpoint. This is a key episode for me when it comes to Gibbs. Because he does something that is totally not legal within the legal spectrum of things. Not only did he mess with and tampered with evidence, but he did it for all the right reasons. It is so cool that the actual episode walks you through this and unveils all of this really kind of heavy duty complexity as to: What is wrong? What is right? At the end he makes this choice to do the right thing which is totally wrong, but he does it for a good reason. Is not that such a nugget of character development for the beloved character of Gibbs?"

"I will walk you through another right thing for the wrong reasons for Jennifer Shepard to be sitting at his desk, getting information from us. Gibbs walks in and he is like: 'It is my team'. And then he goes up to Jenny's office and he sits behind her desk and he is like: 'How do you like it when someone sits behind your desk?' If the director wants to sit behind your desk, she can sit anywhere she wants in that thing."

Michael Weatherly for Off-Duty Podcast
"This is the thing that you and I did a lot. You would start laughing and I would be like: 'This is so inappropriate. Why are you laughing?' It would then make me laugh and then we would not. Do you remember there was one time you and I were like, in between scenes, it was so good and we were laughing about something and we could not stop laughing and you were having orange juice and the orange juice coming out of your nose. They all started laughing that it started coming out of your nose and we both could not stop laughing. Then they had to take like a ten minute break."

What if the actors' egos had taken precedence over the quality of the series? What if the showrunners had allowed them to make a wish about their character's development? After all, it is the last season.
When I watch the last two episodes, that is how I see it. There was only one actor whose fate was sealed months before filming began.
The reunion between June and Emily? In 2022, Alexis Bledel decided to leave the serie and declared, I think, that she would not return. I did not expect to see her back in The Handmaid's Tale, even for a cameo.
I liked Emily. I remember crying when she arrived in Canada, when she was applauded at the hospital (S3E01). Or when she greeted Rita at the airport (S3E13). By the way, I still think it is a miracle that baby Holly/Nichole did not die from being underwater in the river.
The music we hear during her reunion scene with June is besides Applause For A Refugee which is not on the soundtrack shared by Adam Taylor on YouTube. We also heard it in S6E03 when, Serena is approached by Gabriel. He seemed harmed and concerned about her.
PARALLEL In S1E01, Emily to June: This used to be an ice cream place. They had the most amazing salted caramel. In S6E10, Emily to June: This used to be an ice cream place. They had this amazing salted caramel.
It was nice to see Emily in S6E10. On the other hand, I found her story a little fanciful. After S4E10, she returned to Gilead and she became a Martha with a Commander who was her friend? Was he a friend before or did they become friends? So despite everything, there are nice Commanders at Gilead? It seemed like it was incompatible.
Yes, I know that does not mean she went there directly but Emily says to June that she stayed there for seven months, whereas the script states ten. Between Fred's death (S4E10) and the plane explosion (S6E09), it would only seven to ten months have passed? Knowing that in S6E02, there was a two-month time jump.
DELETED SCENE June grabs a can of paint, shakes it. She paints on the wall - adding “My Name Is June” to the other messages. Moira and Rita approach. As the survivors come together in front of The Wall - Moira, Emily, and Rita grab cans of paint and spray their names on the wall.
By the way, they hanged the guardians. How does that make the Americans better than Gilead?

PARALLEL In S1E09, Janine: Can we do karaoke? - June: Sure. In S6E10, Janine, Emily, Alma, Brianna, Rita, Moira and June make a karaoke and sing all together on Landslide by Fleetwood Mac.
About the karaoke, I did not like it at all. Was not that a moment between former handmaids? So what was Rita doing in the scene?
I know, it is not Boston now and not Boston from before. it is another Boston. It is the way things would be if there was never a Gilead.
I do not know if the music means anything, I do not know the music. Very emotional moment. I always imagined they would sing Girls Just Want To Have Fun. Perhaps Esther was also missing. Her character only appears in six episodes but she made a mark. Other name?
Dolores was missing from this reunion. She appeared in 11 episodes.
Do not ask me why, but this all-female karaoke reminded me of the one in the movie Sex and the City 2 where they sing: I Am Woman.
How sad that Moira and Rita are only relegated to the role of extras in this episode. Thanks to Luke, we learn: Mayday is moving out in a couple of days. Moira is getting them together. That is all.
DELETED SCENE June and Luke are waiting for the arrival of Holly/Nichole’s and Holly's bus. They come from Alaska. In the script, Rita spots her sister Gina coming off a bus. The sisters push through the crowd and embrace.
We have no idea what happened to Rose. No one cares, not even Serena who was her mother-in-law (for just a few hours, I grant you). Did she have any new complications with her pregnancy? Was she able to be evacuated? Is she returning to Washington? What about the baby? So many questions. They just erased them from the story.
In S6E07, Rita said Nick was her friend. We normally cry when we lose a friend, I do not see her crying for him. It was just a friendship of interest, nothing more. He was right: We were never friends.
What happened to the Jezebel letters? Still nothing?
The sad thing for Holly/Nichole is she will never have the chance to meet her real father. She will hear horrible things about him. And will think he was one of them. Not sure either that she is seeing Luke and Moira again. The two constants in her life since her arrival in Canada.
She will rarely see her mother and will be raised by a grandmother (of which I would keep my thoughts quiet). She will always hear about Hannah and will probably never feel good enough compared to her.
Hannah is the great forgotten of Season 6, despite some flashbacks.
In S6E01, June remembers Hannah's birth and dreams of finding her. In S6E03, she recalls the baptism of her eldest daughter. In S6E10, she remembers when she went to the funfair with Hannah. When they went to the aquarium. She feels her daughter close to her.
Was her absence intentional? Was it to leave fans with no hope that she would ever find her parents again? Her real parents. I have read a lot of disappointment from some fans that June and Luke do not reunite with Hannah at the end of Season 6. What do you think?
Did the showrunners mess up the ending? Or at least the transition from the serie The Handmaid's Tale to the sequel The Testaments?
In fact, if the writers had not tried so hard to make Serena look better, to give her a redemption arc, I think we could have seen her organize her wedding on TV (like Fred's funeral). And I can imagine she could have made sure Hannah was there to taunt June again. The High Commander Kyle MacKenzie could have officiated the wedding.
Regarding Luke, he is Mayday in The Testaments, so I am not surprised that he is involved more than ever in this episode in order to bring down Gilead. The fact that he does not stay with June seems consistent. Maybe I am twisted lol, but could the fact that he does not try to stay with June be because he is afraid of ending up like Nick?
For me, Luke was always the guy who made scrapbooks while sipping a beer or two while whining about losing his wife and daughter without doing anything. Was the line I underestimated you a message to fans like me? I still have not changed my mind on the matter. He could have worked with Mayday earlier. To be honest, I only give him credit for taking care of Holly/Nichole when he had no obligation to do so.
In any case, I find it odd that he suggests his wife write a book about her escape story: You had people who helped you, Janine, Emily, Lawrence and Nick. People who loved you. People who you loved. They are all worth remembering. Finally, does Nick deserve to be remembered? Yet the marketing department called him a villain.
We are so different now. […] We do not know each other like we did before. All this to say that Luke could have finally agreed to fade away to let June be at the end with Nick. The latter's death was therefore quite unnecessary. Part of me still hopes he faked his death to escape Gilead. Because I still cannot accept that June sacrificed him.
In fact, in the final episode of the serie And Just Like That, Carrie Bradshaw concludes by saying: The woman realized she was not alone - she was on her own. Is it feminist today for a woman to end up alone? I completely agree that it is better to be alone than in bad company. I myself see so many advantages of being alone.
But in the case of The Handmaid's Tale, is it still a message saying that a woman cannot be a badass if she is happy in her love life? Even sadder, June is now a single mother, just like her mother was.
DELETED SCENE Bruce Miller did an interview for Steve Varley Show. He explained: There is a scene from the pilot we cut, we did not use. It was June and Luke in the kitchen. It was after her bank account had been taken away and it was a flashback. It was just great. A husband and wife scene. He was saying: "I just want you to feel safe". She answers: "I am not safe". We had to cut that. I reused it in the finale.
A quick aside: Can we consider that Charmed (1998-2006) was a more visionary serie? Piper’s relationship with Leo is a wonderful example of strength and support. While Piper experiences deep happiness and a genuine connection with Leo, it never undermines her abilities as a witch. On the contrary, the fact that he is her Whitelighter, the guardian angel of the Halliwell sisters.
It has never been a sign of weakness. Instead, their relationship enhances her magical and combat skills, allowing her to navigate her responsibilities while further empowering her personal strength.
I feel that writers often struggle to create stories where a woman can be both happy and a badass at the same time. I will not dwell on the failure of Veronica Mars (2004-2019) but it is clear that the end of Season 4 tarnished 15 years of the serie. Poor Logan Echolls!
Unfortunately, the writers of The Handmaid’s Tale (2017-2025) failed too. They had the opportunity to show how June and Nick's love is a powerful force, nurtured by their shared struggle, resilience, and determination to resist the oppression of Gilead. And they did not.

It is maybe really stupid but it would have been cool if between each season we had been an intermediate season that focuses on two or three characters and explains more about their backstory.
This would have allowed for more development of the flashbacks of the episodes and more development of characters. In few episodes.
Between Season 1 and Season 2, the Waterfords / Rita Between Season 2 and Season 3, Janine / Nick Between Season 3 and Season 4, the Lawrences / Emily Between Season 4 and Season 5, Luke / Moira / Esther Between Season 5 and Season 6, Aunt Lydia / Mark
Would you have liked that? Or do you find it completely stupid?

"Personally, I do not find it awkward at all. It is probably more embarrassing for the crew filming the scene with us, because Cody and I are really comfortable together. It is also more awkward for my family, like my mom, who said: 'Oh, oh, oh.' We work with the cameramen and directors, we want to make sure to capture all the nuances that can highlight the inner lives of our characters, as well as a romantic physical intimacy, which the audience has never really seen in the main series."

"It is not awkward; it is really fun. Working with someone you have known for a long time is a real luxury. Michael and I do not need to pretend; we can show up on set and be exactly ourselves. If we are having a bad day, we just look at each other and understand without needing words. That is what is great about working with a friend, someone I do not have to explain myself to. There are moments when we act silly and cannot stop laughing, but there are also those times when I know we are both under pressure, that the tension is rising, and we are trying to wrap up the day, but night is falling and we are supposed to be on top of our game. So we rely on each other to see this project through. It is a real privilege."
