it was supposed to come of more as a joke,   but the situation and her lack of a teasing tone made that hard to realize.    plus  she  was  being half serious to begin with.

ah,      the   ignorance   of   youth      ---      children   of   asgard   were   not   unknown   to   her,      though   ones   from   other   dimensions   WERE.      shifting   in   her   seat   the   goddess   would   gross   one   leg   over   the   other,      relaxing   her   posture   in   a   blatant   show   of   comfort      ---      she   felt   the   complete   opposite   of   threatened,      really.

it happens so fast, she isn’t quite sure what has been going on. she’s dealing with one of the attackers and the next thing she knows she hears jay’s pain-struck voice.    ❝ idiot, ❞    she hisses when she looks at the other attacker on the ground, a few feet away from her. alma doesn’t look at them twice before she’s already by jay’s side.    ❝ i could have handled them. look at this mess! where does it hurt? ❞    eyes glowing in that vibrant orange ( oh, she’s feeling too many things too intensely right now ), and while her voice don’t give away that she is worried, her eyes betray her. they usually do but few question it.    ❝ this was a stupid idea, what were you thinking? ❞

“Give me a minute, I’m not exactly a magician like your other friends over there.  Just one of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s top agents.”  She’s messing with a portal, pressing buttons out of frustration when it won’t turn on properly (at least from how she remembered).  “Might have to call a technician.”  Already texting them.  This was a little embarrassing.
