"Oh, this Barrier seems a bit familiar." Kyubey mused, knowing full well she had seen this barrier before in her own universe. She knew of this particular witch- she had contracted a younger boy once who transformed swiftly into a witch. Though, who knew? Perhaps she was mistaken and this was not that same person.

Her tail flicked back and forth as the petite girl searched through the Barrier with care, her own mortality in question among a Witch's domain.

A Puella Magi trained in the art of gunwork advanced her way through yet another intricate barrier, feeling as though she'd lost herself within a ghastly rendition of a childhood fairytale. Her senses were alert as she silently observed the surroundings, taking in small details. This barrier seemed to have the oddest combination of themes: That of a hospital with disfigured, macabre nurses surrounding the edges and pills descending like technicolour raindrops, mixed with the atmosphere and decoration of a sweets shop. Oversized cake and biscuits were scattered about, giving the Magi good cover from anything that may try to attack her.

Who knew how much time had passed before she found the entrance to the Witch's Lair-- Time always had the strangest way of evaporating into something abstract within these barriers. Mami took a deep breath, steadying herself substantially and putting every iota of fright out of her mentality. With a musket lying ready in her hands, she kicked open the small door that lead into the barrier, entering cautiously.

She searched for the Witch as the feeling of deja vu crashed over her. Surely, she hadn't fought this Witch before-- That was impossible, wasn't it? Her eyes finally came upon something that looked similar to a child's doll, sitting upon a small table.

"Are you sentient?" Mami's voice was stern, protected by a false air of confidence. An ordinance recently dawned required her to see if the Witch was capable of thought or emotion before attacking.
