Need a hand?

Kana was the most Kana when he was in his field of expertise-- horses. It felt nostalgic working at a Ranch again, and even if he wasn’t his or his old man’s, a ranch is a ranch. And while he never really said it out loud (she’d hold it against him, for sure), Georgia did a pretty wonderful job tending to both a ranch and an animal shop. So here he was, being a good employee and working as early as he could. Actual operating hours didn’t start until much later, but animals were early risers-- so he should be, too.
He was still a little sleepy as he went right ahead to start feeding the livestock. Working both day shift and night shift strained him some, but he’s able to manage so far. He carried with him some feed for the chickens, deciding to start with the little guys first. When he opened the coop, someone was already there. She wasn’t a total stranger, already aware she was a new employee, but they never really talked. Time to change that.
“G’morning. Need a hand over here?” Kana greets with cheer before proceeding towards the chickens. He bends over to pet the white, fluffy livestocks before slowly starting to feed them. “Ya know, I took care of a little chick before that liked hiding in the corner of the coop. Never really understood why, but the little guy wouldn’t eat until you personally take him out of his corner and rejoin him with the others! Funny little guy, that one.”
