that’s a lie and he knows it! even if he’s not all that certain on what the shirt says, he’s pretty sure that what kagami says is the truth for no reason other than the guy’s got a terrible sense of humor. that and he can see the way he’s starting to crack the more kise questions it. there’s just no way that the shirt says miracle. “ yeah? this isn’t just some messed up joke because i’m not as fluent as you in english? ” he’s been the victim to kagami’s — and even nijimura’s! — english-based jokes and he’s not too fond of the idea of falling victim to it again. he still has a reputation to uphold, after all. “ so if i ask nijimuracchi, he’d say the same thing? ” / @tenacityreturns, continued.

it was suppose to be just nijimura and kagami --- but apparently, aomine and tatsuya had gotten bored and decided to trek to the apartment to see what the other two were doing. which was laying around , watching tv. nijimura looks up from his spot on the couch when the door creaks open -- ( and he wonders just when tatsuya and aomine had gotten a hold of a key ) , but he waves anyway. kagami is getting something from his room, so he pushes himself up and raises a brow. “ what are you two doing here? ” obviously the question is directed at both tatsuya and aomine , but only tatsuya answers. “ we were going to shoot hoops but it started raining so we came here instead. ” nijimura nods. that checks out. “ where’s that idiot ? ” aomine says , as he moves inside , putting his coat haphazardly on the side-table.  “ gettin’ somethin--” a pause , and nijimura lets out a yell to let kagami know. “ we’ve got company. ”  “ who is it ? ”  “ the boys! ”  tatsuya and aomine look at each other. they nod before they walk in and tatsuya sits besides nijimura , letting shoulders brush. “ it was raining, ” he says when kagami eventually walks out of his room. aomine nods. are they dripping water onto the couch and floor ? yes. do they care ? no! / @tenacityreturns

tenacityreturns asked: a scrawny first year approaches nijimura with fear in his eyes and shaking hands. this is his first practise. he is truly in the presence of a god. several gods. kagami taiga stretches over in the corner with kuroko tetsuya ( whom he had noticed first in the room )! the coach, riko aida, is talking with them. he all but crumbles when he catches nijimura's eye. "uhhh--! yagi yuuta, reporting for-- practise!" he wishes he hadn't saluted. "i'm honoured to meet you! uh, sorry to speak to you!"

nijimura had been doing his own stretches - middle of dynamic stretches , when yuuta approaches him. he blinks up at yuuta from his spot on the ground when he salutes , before he grins. “ hey , i’m nijimura. ” he rolls his neck , and then pushes himself up off the ground , patting yuuta on the back. “ don’t worry we don’t bite. no need to be so nervous. tell me, what position do you play ? ” he moves to stretch out his back muscles now , arm over chest five seconds, before he switches arms. “ so you’re a first year ? ” at yuuta’s nod , he continues. “ great. me and riko will work out a schedule for each of you -- ” he eyes there room , “ there should be one more first year comin’ in actually. anyways , there’s going to be a game to see where your talents lie too. so do your stretches. ”

Damn, Kagami is getting smarter. Or (more likely) he’s learning how to ignore Takao more effectively. Either way, kind of a bummer! Takao will have to find ways to be more creative with his harassment in the future. Barking at Kagami’s apartment window while he slept is probably overkill even for him. He just wants to mess with the guy, not get himself arrested.
