How can I conquer these unspoken words between us, my love? How can we reach each other through the soft songs and the gentle smiles? Is it enough to fall in love in the quiet space between moments together?
I think in some ways it is, love.
The quiet moments are often the most tender.
A soft song playing as I pull a needle through my embroidery fabric. No one is watching me so I am fully in the moment and myself.
You pull into my bedroom ready to ask me a question but I have headphones in and am so concentrated I cannot hear you. It's intimate this moment of watching me in my private world. Softly you think it, but you don't verbalize it, and I don't notice it.
Then you knock on the doorframe and I come barreling back into reality with a gasp.
