Yes I am going to trigger you. Ofc ravus will know, ignis being very distance with him and he notice ignis had been sharing shy glances at each other and when they are laying on ravus's bed he caught an unfimiliar scent in his room but he said nothing because ignis wouldnt even look at him when they're alone. Ofc he shouldnt betray his king and his kingdom, ofc he shouldnt be in love with a country where his king seeks war but gladio makes him feel like home more than his king and kingdom does.
What do you
* tries not to hyperventilate*
What do you mean “an unfamiliar scent in his room”. How LONG was Gladio there.What did theyWhat did they do.Jesus christ, this is SO GOOD, uuuuugh.
“but gladio makes him feel like home more than his king and kingdom does.“ <—- DAAAAAAAAAAAAMNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN THAT’S SOME GOOD STUFF IN THERE.
You know, Ravus is Ravus.What if Ignis wanted to outsmart him with little things so he won’t notice that he’s having something for Gladio, say, Idk, maybe one day he accidentally can’t keep himself together and…let me make a scenario up.
JESUS CHRIST OKAY LISTEN
What if it’s been weeks of visit from the Lucis’ King and his guard, and Gladio and Ignis have long acknowledge they feel something for each other, and both have come to explicitly accept together that it’s not right, and that they had to stop approaching and talking. It was best for everyone if they simply let it go.
But one day they can’t resist it. They did not mean to stumble across each other in the same room, or maybe they did but didn’t know they did. Whatever it was, destiny brought them to be alone together. Avoiding and not at the same time, they end up kissing again. Both know they did not have to do it, that this was a must not, but they don’t let go of each other.
However, in the middle of it, Ignis knows that he’s going to smell differently than usual, so he has to do something about it.Ravus likes his’ mouth to smell of grapes (for Ignis’ liking), so his mouthwash is always grapes. So, even though Ignis knows it’s best to stop, he decides that, for once, he wants to kiss gladiolus only for a bit with no consequences, and he decides to outsmart Ravus.He goes to the bathroom and looks among all bottles he sees until spotting a grape-flavored one, and he hurries back to Gladio with “Here, use this”. Gladio will at first be all “Pretty demanding for a quick affair?” but Ignis explains why he’s doing it; so that Ravus won’t notice, will sense the smell of grapes and will find it as his own.So both wash their mouths with it, and Ignis plans to leave when Gladio grabs him back; “We already smell of him. A few kisses more won’t change it.”Ignis, helplessly giving up to himself and to Gladio, stays there and kisses him back a little more.
Later that night, preparing for bed and everything, Ravus gently asks Ignis closer to him. The adviser, very secure he’s got it all covered, will reach for him and will kiss him. Mid kiss, Ravus will smile.“Grapes…like my mouthwash, hm?”“It’s quite strong. Your mouth always leaves it in mine since morning.”“Yes. That’s right.”
Ravus smiles more widely, a hand on Ignis’ nape.“You know what’s the funny thing about it, Ignis? That this morning I didn’t use it; I left my mouthwash, the only grape-flavored bottle in the entire castle, in another bathroom.”
Ignis, at this point, goes pale not sure if he’s understanding or not.Ravus chuckles at him, darkly.“The Shield of the King of Lucis must be enjoying a lot of the flavor. What do you think, Ignis? Would you describe to me, detail by detail, what you were doing in his room?”
You
Don’t
Outsmart
Ravus.
