If it wasn’t for the fact that Atsushi had been walking back to the dorms, he most likely wouldn’t have noticed the smell of iron & metal in the very direction he was in. Wouldn’t have been compelled to go see just what it was that was causing his nose to crinkle at the very scent: maybe someone had been injured, maybe someone had simply wandered somewhere they shouldn’t. & yet, when the teen slowly made his way over to a particularly vacant alleyway, his two-toned eyes caught the sight of the hound: injured badly & curling himself against the shadows.
Atsushi didn’t say much even after the hound looked at him angrily, even the way he spoke to him added to it all: Akutagawa didn’t appreciate that he was the one to find him. The teen couldn’t blame him for that sentiment, yet he wasn’t about to leave with the knowledge that someone he knew was hurt; it would weigh on his conscience later on. Instead, he took a step forward, just one in case the hound were to do anything to keep him at bay.
“Akutagawa, you might...not like it, but I want to help...get you out of here. If you’ll let me do that.” He said carefully, “If anything, I can just help you get back to Port Mafia territory.”
