Japan is probably one of the few countries with a toilet that comes with a user manual. I must admit it took me a while to be competent enough to use the buttons. Breakfast had enough variety to barely suit my taste buds. Love the sticky rice. Throughout the 10 days we were here, we’d take a few Nori ( 海苔 ) packets from breakfast to snack while strolling the streets. If you decide to visit Japan, make sure you are physically fit to walk; long distances. I believe the Japanese have designed Japan to encourage everyone to walk. Besides the sumo wrestlers, most Japanese people are not obese; their gym is their country’s infrastructure. After breakfast at the hotel, we set off to the Osaka Museum of Housing and Living. It is on the 9th floor of the Osaka Municipal Housing Information Center in Tenjinbashi. From the hotel, we walked to the Kitahama station. Took the Sakaisuji line heading towards Tenjimbashisuji. 3 stops. A short walk to the building. Don’t get distracted by the shops along the way. Take the elevator to the 9th floor. Entrance fee is 500 yen (RM18.30) per person. Wander around. Rent out a kimono. Take lots of pictures. Shop for souvenirs at the gift shop. Definitely worth a visit.
