strange kept his circle rather tight. it made it easier && he had specific duties that took priority over just fighting some bad guy who wanted to much power. that’s what certain people were for && new york was not shy of heroes either. the avengers, spider-man, && the defenders of most recently. there was no shortage. so he could look BEYOND new york. his duty was to protect the time stone && ensure that no major threats from places that some people did not even know existed.  so when he was greeted with company upon actually stepping out to handle a city problem only to be assisted by someone he did not quite know.  as he gathered his footing, thanks to his cape, gaze settling upon the other woman’s features. “ && you are ? “ he asked quickly. probably better ways to say hello, like for example a thank you, but he couldn’t help what slipped out first.

            “Hey, ‘scuse me!” Bucky’s calling out to the woman, jogging to catch up with her from further down the road. He’s panting a little, drawing his coat further around himself in the cold. “Hey, thanks for stoppin’, I’m uh, I guess I’m a little lost.” There’s a slight chuckle, a hand coming up to smooth his hair back. “Funny, y’think you know a neighborhood after growin’ up in it, but I coulda swore on my life that I was headed toward Red Hook, only- wasn’t there a grocery here?” He turns, shaking his head as he squints around in the street lights. “This is 3rd St, so Mercer Grocer’s should be right on that corner, ‘less I’m all kinds’a turned around.”
