now that i feel like it im gonna post the tennkaan country personification / countryhuman arts (1/2)

i drew all of these during my most recent summer break. these aren't in much of a consecutive order, but the drawings kinda got worse as i kept drawing because i used every past drawing as a reference image right under the new drawing (if that makes sense). and my art style ends up looking super inconsistent.

unfortunately tumblr only allows 30 images per post so this is a part one.

also fun fact: southern ransove (originally just ransove), yanab, and jshimecce were the three original designs i made for the tennkaanhumans back in 2023. i also made a dogor one, but the 2024 design was changed from the original a lot

last art of 2024, and it's humanized galka islands from hit fictional continent tennkaan!

i haven't really fleshed out the actual islands yet, but i do have some basic stuff to base a character off of.

yea, he technically counts as a countryhuman, i guess. or a territoryhuman.

i have personified versions of all the tennkaan countries (even ransove's districts!!!), but i dont feel like posting them rn lol. probably next year... so like tomorrow or in a few days lol

humanized jastikeros coming next year too (hopefully jeiwohwjiefowh)

i wanted to share a map i made for this project im doing because i just recently made an updated version

behold the UPDATED map of the fictional continent (and planet!!!) Tennkaan:

featuring 34 actual countries (+ the galka islands and jastikeros which technically aren't countries)

this map took me... way too long??? like hours and hours. even tho i was directly tracing the old map. im proud of it tho :D

old version:

not a bad map at all, just a little outdated (such as treraid's capital's name changing its spelling), me wanting to specify jastikeros and the galka islands' existence (hell i hadn't even known exactly where i would put jastikeros until making the new updated map lol), and me not liking the lines in the old version (mostly since they're thick in some places and thin in others? idk it was a weird custom ibis paint x brush i made). also i forgot to mention bennvaan's capital. woops.

so this old map is from 2023-2024 and the new one is from late 2024. wahoo.

also, for those curious, there is in fact a 2022 tennkaan map! it's cursed, poorly made, and looks like this:

yeah, ew. like why is kuraanjurni marked with orange and bennvaan marked with green? at least green is my favorite color (besides gray), but what's with orange? that's sort of a random color? also why did i think it would be ok to make lines THAT THICK ON A MAP????

also if you're wondering why they're labeled with numbers rather than country names: i had a list of the countries in my notes app that were numbered. i guess i was too lazy to type the actual county names? woops.

for those extra curious, there was also an original paper version of this 2022 map:

this is the only image i have of it (or the highest quality one at least) and i dont feel like digging for the og drawing rn since im all comfy in bed. so yeah i had to mess with the saturation and trace some things lol.

it looks like if someone tried drawing modern tennkaan from memory.

anyways there's actual earlier 2021 versions of it (when the countries and languages were COMPLETELY different), all i'll say is that the earliest possible version of the tennkaan lore is ransove originally being a city in a country that i forgot the name of.

most of the old old info from 2021 is also on my old amazon fire tablet which is really not in the best condition (its battery works really strange and i have to use it while it's plugged in at a very specific angle, plus i think the last time i used it like that it randomly shut down lmao?)

anywayyyssss sorry for rambling but if im able to ill eventually post the oldest tennkaan (or pre-tennkaan ig) lore.
