So not the greatest, but I wanted to get it done so I could get it done.

The idea was stuck to me in your story with Simon when he had the realm invaded by Her, and this is what I imagined happened when the Reader showed their anger. Stars collapsing and forming - their form breaking to show the might of a black hole - of what others would witness should they mess with Simon, and their home again.

Like it's absolutely beautiful, oh my god. You really captured what I was picturing when I described that scene too! The black hole in their maw, the blinding light and abyssal shadow. Fuck, this is such an awesome piece of fan art. Gods, you're all so talented, I'm gonna pick you up and squeeze you all.

Don't apologise this is absolutely gorgeous! Omg, I love the little galaxies in Reader's form, the swirls of blue breaking up the black, I love the way their tendrils are curling loosely around Simon. And I gushed about it before but I'm still so in love with their expression, the way they look so softly at him, its tender, its sweet. Ugh, it's absolutely gorgeous, and that's not even to get started on Convict.

He really does look both relieve and worried. And the fact that the scar on his residual limb looks kind of like a line of stars is a really nice touch. I don't know if that was intentional, but regardless, its a nice feature. Kinda leaning into how he was healing by something of the Universe, in a way :D

Just a curiosity, you mentioned before that the Reader was able to find Simon a prosthetic arm to help with his missing one, and I was curious what you envisioned said prosthetic to look like?

Yes! Reader does eventually get Simon a prosthetic arm! Honestly, I hadn't really put a huge amount of thought into how exactly I pictured his prosthetic looking before this ask (also delayed response because I've been resting, and then today I was very ill), but I think I could see him with something like this?

I think the technology limitations would stop him from having anything particularly streamlined and smooth, plus the general aesthetic for the world is quite grungy. So, his prosthetic wouldn't be super high-tech. He probably wouldn't be able to have a prosthetic that he could feel you with.

Alternatively, Reader could just... give him a part of themself to use as a limb. Space arm for Simon. That could be cool, and it would be more likely that he'd be able to touch and feel with his new hand.

I did have an idea before about Simon as a concept of hope, with his image being remade so he was like a sun, though life’s concept kinda had to make me rethink it a bit. I do want the sun to still be a motif, I was kinda curious if you have any thoughts on what else Simon should embody.

So I think a good way to differentiate Life and Concept!Simon would be to change the position of the 'sun' aspect. So if Life's entire head is a sun/star, maybe the sun element for Simon could sit nestled in his antlers, with them curving up and around it? Almost like a halo of sorts.

Or it could be encased in his chest?

As for visuals and other thoughts of what he should embody, I don't really know. I think dog and deer imagery would lean well into him. Deer because of his 'crown' of antlers, also antlers look like tree branches. Dog imagery as a call back to Laika, but also because I think if anyone would 'love like a dog' it would be Simon, and he gives me vibes of that monologue from 'Isle of Dogs'.

That's really all I can think of off the top of my head.

Here is the monstrous form of the OC I mentioned. Don’t really have a good background idea but I liked the idea of a bottom feeder/parasite living in the blood ocean, including on The Eel, or whatever scraps they could find. Of course, I thought of maybe this character being more sentient but only enough to know what the Eel represents, and remembering meeting the other humans that came in the submarines. I just didn’t know if that would break the whole lore established about how dangerous the blood is and how the god looking through the pinhole would react to a being being conscious, and not listening to its influence.

OOOOOOH THAT'S SO COOL TENSAI!!! You draw monster art so fucking well. And hey, it's our fanfiction, we choose what is and is not canon compliant, alright? Fanfiction is about what you find to be most enjoyable and fun! If that means bending the rules a little for an interesting story, then you bend those rules! Their design is so fucking cool though.

Yes! AO3 is unfortunately down at the moment, and we don't really know why, nor do we know how long it'll be down for. The agonies are felt. I am in mourning rn.
