May 19, 2015::: And finally, the 3rd project - I am delighted to report that the #reConnectQuilt has been accepted by Figment Festival this year! 🙌 To be erected and completed by attendees on Governors Island NYC June 6th - 7th. Doing this again with #filmmaker Daniel Maldonado (@gashousefilms). We will build a #TentTheater attached to the quilt, where we"ll screen film shorts on both days. (We first did this in 2013 with Art for Progress at Solar One Park). Been toiling away making all the parts for the past couple weeks also while Daniel toilsbin editing. Very excited for this, it's a festival I've loved going to for years. Pure baccanal of happy interactive #AliceInWonderland kind of art, with performance and mixed media installations, creative games, outdoor yoga, sound sculptures, live music and DJ madness, etc and yum! A kitchy weird but super cute version of what Burning Man used to be. Lol 😃. It's good for the brain too to make light community based #happyart and to depart a bit from all the brooding stuff. 😅 Glad to be a part of this. 🙏This concludes my posts for the day.
