10 years of blogging - Musica in Extenso
As the final part of The True Story of Musica in Extenso (Part 10.), here we are... after 10 years of blogging. OMG! What? I don’t believe this... it’s real?
Well... I think, yeah! It’s 13 (Friday!!!) August 2021... and I don’t know how to find the right words, how to express myself (my English is far from perfect, I’m sure you know this, haha), how to describe my feelings. It’s so pathetic, right? I mean, as the Editor-in-Chief, I should write a long “essay” about the past and to make a summary of 10 years. Well, I can’t do this, because, obviously, this is a long time and it’s not just time. It’s an era... and I’m so thankful, that it’s not the end of an era. This is just a chapter of an era, of a lifetime.
I hope that in this lifetime - in my lifetime - you will be always present through Musica in Extenso, because music is a huge part of my life and I can express myself through music. In every post I always write “Today on Musica in Extenso”... and today I will also insert this short text again, but this time without a video.
Today on Musica in Extenso, we will stay in silence. Because silence is also part of music. A very important part... and as you know (if you’re a MiE fan) our blog is on a summer vacation. So this silence is also a symbolic reference and also a motivation for me, for us, to continue our activities in October with refreshed powers and to start a new era... a new era with good music, with great people.
On this journey, I will have the greatest companion: the heart of MiE and our Artistic Director, Melinda Beasi; the only and one, Artistic Assistant, Juan M. Orozco; the best in town, Guest Editor, Nicholas Olinger.... and of course, our 3000+ Classical Music Community.
THANK YOU! ❤️ - Editor-in-Chief
