👀👀👀 YOU HEARD RIGHT ... YOU’VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE MY FRIEND ...  we support iidekuchako 24/7 here so uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh what i’m trying to say is uhhhhhhhhhhhh let’s get some precious trio moments yeah?  👀👌 

study sessions ending with them watching movies because ochako got tired of studying and convinced izuku and then they both convinced iida to watch some movies,,,,, all three of them tangled on the couch eating snacks and talking about how bad a movie is or getting invested in it!!! ochako and izuku falling asleep on tenya’s shoulders and tenya falling asleep stuck between em!!! 

them being goofy after class in the courtyard or the field and just hanging out, swinging their legs on a short wall they’re sitting on, answering each other’s unimportant / lighthearted questions, getting into heated discussions over dumb inane things like pineapple vs pepperoni on pizza!! 

but also them training their quirks together!! HAVING SUPER / SPECIAL MOVES W / EACH OTHER!! IIDA AND DEKU! IIDA AND OCHAKO! OCHAKO AND DEKU! IIDA AND DEKU AND OCHAKO!!!! AND IT’S REALLY COOL AND THEY POLISH IT UP SO WELL!!!! AND THEY PUSH EACH OTHER TO DO BETTER!! and at some point one time they end up goofing off while they’re in their alloted time in the gym after class and they end up all floating w ochako’s quirk and they’re laughing and giggling bc iida is spinning and izuku’s not doing any better and they end up all holding hands to keep together and to keep anyone from floating away and when they finally get down they’re just breathless on the mat laughing still 

AND LISTEN !!! THIS AND MORE NEEDS TO HAPPEN OK!! U WANT IIDEKUCHAKO, I’M HERE !!! I’M HERE!!! WATASHI GA KITA!!!!!!!!

        It’s getting harder to ignore the nagging in his chest. A lifetime of goals, of ambition, of hope, all laying out before him and all he can think about is breaking every rule in the book. What’s the point of being a hero, if you’re going to be bogged down by the bureaucracy and the incessant need for a fame. Izuku knew that if he went pro he would be moderately popular at least, honestly it’s what he wanted for long but like. At what cost?

       Izuku stared at the opening and closing of his crooked digits without so much as a flinch. He needed to start thinking of things and how he was going to be remembered as the world greatest hero, not just that he had journey ahead of him to be number one, but also how he was going to drag himself to the top.

" MIDORIYA !! happy birthday !!! " that explains why tenya has a party hat and a party popper. . . 🎉 !

❝ I - IIDA - KUN!! ❞  he jumps a little from the party popper, tiny bits of confetti flying up into the air and getting stuck on his hair and shoulders. blinking, izuku takes in the sight before him : a smiling iida, party hat on head, party poppers in hands, and their classmates standing close behind. they’re all looking at him with smiles on their faces, in similar birthday hat attire, and izuku … izuku leans back a little, eyes wide as he sucks in a breath because … because he’d had no idea they were planning any of this … he had no idea that they would celebrate his birthday, he’d planned on spending it quietly like always ———- 

not that he was complaining about the surprise. no. not at all! that … that was the farthest thing from the truth. izuku couldn’t be more touched. more humbled. more … more thankful. 

happy. 

izuku was happy. 

his eyes slip away from his classmates, back towards iida who stands in front of them all, and izuku can tell. he can tell who planned this, who spearheaded this — or at least who helped organize it all, and izuku tried, okay? he tried to keep those pesky tears at bay, but knowing how much iida had done to make this happen … how much he cared to have made this a thing … izuku’s lip wobbles before he ducks his head, sniffling, and rubs furiously and quickly at his eyes. not a moment later he raises his head again, giving a bright laugh and an equally blinding smile to go with it. ❝ th … thanks! ❞ 

he’s so incredibly lucky to have iida as his friend.

  and ah, he is guilty. there was a time, but a few months ago, when shouto would have rather not existed. everyday was a chasm in which he stood and waited, waited for something to happen. and it did, oh, it did, it split his world wide open and left him reeling and shaking like a leaf in the wind, vulnerable and horrified and guilty guilty guilty. but it hadn’t been enough, and there are scars to prove it, on the bodies of his friends and in shouto’s heart. (if he had just been compassionate to iida, before hosu, before stain, before, before, before. he doesn’t think he could do it now, but he should have tried back then. there was too much at stake.)

  it scares shouto how much he cares these days. it feels like his emotions are going to burst out of his body, through his mouth, through his bones. it finds physical release in his quirk occasionally, bursts of flame and crackles of ice around his fingers and hair and mouth, unconscious and gentle and harmless, but it’s terrifying. but it’s not enough. it won’t ever be enough, and it won’t take away iida’s arm, or midoriya’s scarred hand. it won’t ever make up for how self centred and closed minded shouto had been at the beginning.

 it’s not fair that the two people he now considers his best friends have to suffer, in some way, from his lack of care and effort.

  “iida. i’m sorry.” it’s a running thread, a pattern, that shouto is neglectful. he’s never told fuyumi how grateful he is, hasn’t texted natsuo in over a year, took years to visit his mother again. he is terrified of being a friend. he won’t be a good one. but... “i’ll... do whatever i can to make up for it. i promise.” he doesn’t mean the distance at the beginning of the year, and he reaches out, right hand cold and frosted, and touches his friend’s injured arm gently. it’ll never be enough. but he’s had enough of apathy and disinterest, so he can at least start to try to make up for his mistakes.
