Lia didn’t seek her sister out. She just... didn’t. It was usually the other way around. In some ways, she did love her older sister, but their relationship was complicated. More than anything she wanted to feel like a child, not a mindless person. Lia rarely let herself feel like that, even at home. Following the rules was stupid if the rules were there to be challenged. And since she’d never be perfect anyway, what was the point? Today was one of the worst days she’d had in a while. Lia felt small and alone. She didn’t want to feel that way anymore. Firewhiskey bottle in hand, she sought out Teodozja, finding her after a while—a good chunk of the bottle gone. “I’m a mess. Fix me,” she said in Polish, taking another swig of the drink.
