Don’t Judge A
BAD BOY
By His ᴄᴏᴠᴇʀ, Mate
Drabble; In the Absence of Light
Life had never been kind to Edowado Eruwikku, not since the very moment he was born. He wasn’t supposed to be a Castanic. He wasn’t supposed to be a true child of the long-forgotten Dragon God. He wasn’t supposed to exist at all, in fact... His twin’s true nature was disguised by a spell, but this child, this surprise who wasn’t meant to be... He resisted it.
If anyone knew who he was, what he was, the illusion would be ruined forever. The hidden God could afford no questions, not in a world where the old deities were supposed to be gone forever. Upon discovering the newborn’s telltale horns, there was only one choice.
The boy was claimed to be a stillborn, and then discreetly sent away, left on the doorstep of a distant friend in the grim, grungy city of Castanica... Someone who would not be so quick to ask questions and pass judgment. Left in a basket marked ‘Edowado Eruwikku,’ with naught but a blanket and a sorcerer’s ring like a curled dragon, nothing could determine the child’s true identity.
It was there, in the heart of his people’s homeland, far from the pristine towers of Allemantheia where he was born, that he would come to find a purpose in this cold, cruel, unforgiving world. A reason to fight, even if it was not the reason that anyone would ever hope for in a young demigod.
In the absence of light, only d a r k n e s s remains.
TRUTH: What really happened between Tirin and Lucia? There have been lots of hints, but I suspect Tirin has been talking around some of the meat. Or a lot of the meat.
Yes, she has been talking around a lot of the meat. Be warned that this is going to put a considerable chunk of Tirin’s backstory on the open, so…yeah, be warned!
First, let’s start with a bit of context for clarity:
There were three Lucias in our RP. One was killed by Twinsoul on the very first scene she was introduced to. We will call this one “Mookcia” and forget about her completely in a moment. She was recruited to replace the previous one: we we call that one Meiru (because that’s her actual name). That is the one Tirin was romantically involved with.
What happened was this: Lucia illegaly entered the Academy and failed to steal what she had gone there to steal. In part, because both her and Tirin found each other. Tirin failed to recognize her and, unlike Lucia, she did not pull out her punches. The fight ended when Tirin severed her leg off with a spell. It was then she recognized who she was. She helped her escape, bringing her to Goroth who arranged to have her properly healed.
That didn’t end there, though. Meiru resented Tirin heavily and using the woman’s guilt against her, convinced her not only to steal from the Academy but also to become the next Lucia.
And that’s the third Lucia. Tirin. You probably thought was a typo up there.
The reasoning, or the main one, was that someone, somewhere, would put two and two together and realize the Elin who had lost her leg the same day Lucia had vanished was, in fact, Lucia. Thus, Tirin ‘became’ Lucia for an arbitrary number of tasks given by Meiru. The situation lasted quite a while but, despite never finding a proper replacement, Tirin walked off with Goroth’s help.
And that’s what happened between them. I hope I didn’t put too much useless information.
