What's this about "merleesi pottery"? *-*
It is going to be a bowl🥰 Still need to finish the details🤗
I need "A Girl in a Teashop" for Reasons (and Tea), please?
Mmmmm a little ginger tea on a rainy day, yes please <3 So...this is an idea I was playing with for one of the exchanges but then decided to do something else. Basically a Jorleesi + The Girl in the Cafe (that very sweet Kelly MacDonald/Bill Nighy love story from the early 2000s?) mash up. I haven’t ruled it out, but have to finish some other projects first :) A little teaser for youuuuu.... He’d just wanted some air. That’s all. Five minutes without the phone ringing or the intercom buzzing. But in his rush to escape the drudgery of a day that had already gone on too long, he’d forgotten his umbrella at the office. “Goddamnit…,” Jorah muttered as he felt the first, fat drops start to fall, grimacing beneath the feel of a cold spring rain splashing on his face and collar. There was even some bloody thunder in the distance to make sure he knew what was coming. And not even a minute later, the skies opened and the heavy clouds poured out. There were a couple squeals and shrieking laughter on the street, as the crowds dispersed, everyone ducking into nearby buildings or under the eaves for cover. Jorah found himself using his newspaper as a makeshift cover before dashing across the street to Illyrio’s Teashop.
It was a small café, with a street side patio that would be a pleasant spot on sunnier days. As he strode up to the front door, he saw a few servers collecting plates of food and menus, even the vases of blue and white flowers, gathering everything up to carry it inside during the storm.
He followed behind them, finding himself holding the door open for a striking and grinning waitress who brought up the rear. She turned that sweet grin on him, together with a, “Thank you, love,” as she ducked under his arm to carry her tray inside.
She was too young to call him “love.” And she was shorter than him by at least a foot. But her smile was enchanting and he found himself staring at the back of her silver-blonde head as he followed her inside, the imprint of her little smile still resonating in the snug coatroom that they passed through...
Please tell us more about "Flesh and Bone"?
Flesh and Bone is going to be chapter four of my fic Petrichor (ha, rhyme). It’s planned out as a further dabble into Jorah’s past, moving past the early childhood years. It focuses on the family relationship and war and survival. So, ya know, just some of that good ol’ fashioned angst :)
It’s over before it begins.
The battle. The skirmish. His very first.
Jorah thought there would be more to it. He thought there would be more time to feel fear, to push through pain, to curb the violent tremor of war.
But he feels little more than a dull ache in the sword arm used to cut down men twice his age. Enemies whose names he’ll never know. Breathing heavy, he pulls his blade from the dead man beside him and hauls himself to his feet. He’s close to the edge of the island now, having fought his way down the slopping knoll. Strong waves crash just beneath him, awoken by the raiders’ ships.
There are no cheers. No glory to be won. The survivors simply make their way back up the hill, towards the Keep, pushing through muck and mud. Jorah follows their path on less steady legs, thinking of a good night’s rest and little else.
Near the top of the hill, he finally spots his father, gathered with a small patrol. Familiar lines draw back in relief, but the old bear gives nothing more than a nod. He turns away before either of them can speak.
It’s the first and last time they’ll fight together.

Chapter 16: Bonus chapter: the Captain's log
Summary:
Yes, the story of THE KEEP is complete but what of Jorah's travelogs and alembic recipes, the ones Daenerys read upon discovering the secret attics of her new home?
Notes:
Thank youuuuuuuu to my script-editor @terisrog for this amazing gift: actual excerpts of Jorah's travelogs, when he was a younger captain, before he met Lynesse. Therefore, before he met Daenerys, but proof that, even back then, he was dreaming of her... and inventing scents for his eternal love in his secret alembic.
After the log, enjoy a re-plublishing and rearranging of all the moodboards I created for THE KEEP (sometimes inserting the artwork of @salzrand, @chryssadirewolf, @itszulasworld, @marmalademouse), along with the solo artworks of @itszulasworld. Thank you ladies!
On Friday...
A bonus chapter of THE KEEP with Captain Mormont’s travelog, secret alembic recipes and love letters to the woman of his dreams, she who would come later, Daenerys Targaryen... from the quilt pen of @terisrog in Jorah/Iain Glen’s handwriting, no less (notice the capital “I” ;-)... How lucky can a fanfic writer be?!
