How did you pick your OC's name?

I think I created her around the time they announced Top Gun: Maverick and for some reason the name stuck with me. I've also always loved using masculine names for feminine characters, it gives opportunity for interesting names. So originally I wanted to call her Maverick but because of the swtor, uh, limitations, it kept refusing every name until I hit Maverik'a and worked. In the end I'm glad swtor chose her current name because it ended up being more original than my first idea 😌

Is your OC older or younger than you, or a similar age?

When I created her I was the same age as her at the beginning to the class story, 17 years old baby. But if we do my current age and her age in the last swtor update, I'm 20 and she's 34 (29 biologically).

Any physical traits you share with your OC?

I specifically gave her my eye color, so we both rocking with amber eyes 🤭

Any personality traits you share with your OC?

We're both fighters for equal rights, we're both good at concealing emotions (except that in my case it's a problem LOL), we're fair, loyal, etc.

Any personal abilities/mannerisms/habits/hobbies you passed onto your OC?

We both love space mechanics (I have so many Lego spaceships you have no idea) and we're both late bloomers in terms of average life experiences lol.

Where do you and your OC differ the most?

She's optimistic, almost idealistic and I'm definitely realistic leaning pessimistic sometimes.

What trait/ability does your OC have that you wish you did?

The Force? DUH. And lightsaber fighting.

In a situation where you existed in the same world as your OC, would they be friends with you? Or alternatively, if your OC was your roommate, could you live with them?

Well, if her bestie is a pragmatic Sith, I'm probably gonna get a long really well with her🧍

That all she does is worth it, keep going.

Ship It

What made you ship it?

Well, Dexter came back in the form of New Blood, and I was excited to watch and I kept telling myself, "Scorp, don't ship this, this dynamic is very iddy, but don't ship it" not because I was opposed to it, but because my last fandom was IT and Heather & I spit-balled multiple dadson ships out of thin air together and I just felt embarrassing if this was gonna be a pattern. But you know...the heart wants what it wants.

Very specifically, it was Dexter kissed Harrison's straight razor that I felt like, the ~pull of the ship. And then when Dexter decided to make his son an accomplice to murder so he can watch him kill someone, I was like. All in. I haven't stopped since.

What are your favorite things about the ship?

There's too much to really list out; the daddy issues, the abandonment issues, the born in blood shared trauma aspects, the serial killer grooming, the actual grooming, etc etc For me...I really like ships where one person sees the other person. Even the worst, most ugliest parts - and still loves that person. Dexter telling Harrison he can tell him his darkest, violent thoughts and Harrison responding with a hug. Harrison seeing his dad kill a man, dismember a man, shooting his father even, and still - after all that, wanting to be in his life. That's real, that's beautiful.

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

I don't know if this is an unpopular opinion or not, honestly but I'm soooo soft about Dexter/Harrison, I just want them to be happy. I want them to not get better and be codependent and terrible for each other and terrible to others, and never ever part. I am not here to read or write morality tales about what people should do.

Cleaner is fun to write even though he's such a terrible person. That was a very early line in Cleaner. Kaliyo stepped on or grabbed one of his lekku; I read somewhere that lekku were part of a Twi'lek's brain as well as erogenous zones so...yeah, sometimes fun, sometimes a giant pain in the...well....dick.

I know I definitely had Quinn wanting DS Jaesa, Jaesa only having eyes for Umrahiel, and that desire being a factor in Quinn's decision to betray Varrel. Social climbing and all that. I can't recall if I actually had Quinn and Jaesa hook up, though.

I planned for Umrahiel to use the Inquisitor's body-swap thing to put his mind and memories into a younger body (yay immortality), but I never did write that out. The most I did was write Umrahiel visiting Zash (who's occupying a Miraluka body) in an herbalist-alchemist-totally-not-invoking-Baba-Yaga shop to start his journey.

Your favorite non-canon ship?

sam and dean winchester. i could argue they are a canon queerplatonic ship, soulmates and life partners, letting the world burn if it means keeping the other alive and all that, but 🤪 i love them in all their variants. romantic, platonic, etc. i adore and create stuff for other shows and relationships too, but i still read wincest fic literally every day, without fail.

OC & I: How similar are you and your OC?

I was tagged by @frauleiiin for this and figured it'd be fun to give it a shot.

How did you pick your OC's name?

Well, Artek I wanted to give a heroic name, so I went for something along the lines of Arthur at first but wanted to refine it out a bit. I went along looking for Gaellic/Celtic based names and settled on the name Artek. His last name 'Sefyr' is based on Zephyr, since I wanted to give a wind/elemental-themed last name.

Is your OC older or younger than you, or a similar age?

I'm 22 as of making this post. Artek is most likely somewhere in his 30s by the current event of the game (19 when the story began), so at least a solid decade between us.

Any physical traits you share with your OC?

He's got my blonde hair alright. Originally, I had him with blue eyes, but I changed them to green so he wouldn't be too similar.

Any personality traits you share with your OC?

Both he and I are casual, optimistic, yet impulsive, stubborn, and easy to infuriate.

Any personal abilities/mannerisms/habits/hobbies you passed onto your OC?

He shares my fascination with starships and collecting models (mine unfortunately are all put away rn), and both of us drink a fair bit. He also has trouble focusing like I do. Dunno if it counts, but both of us are also very pansexual lol

Where do you and your OC differ the most?

Artek has a lot more mental willpower to get through all of the shit he's put through. I would give up easily if I were in his shoes. Physically, he's ripped as hell and physically strong while I am a beanpole lmao

What trait/ability does your OC have that you wish you did?

Dunno if I'd want force abilities, but I'd definitely wouldn't mind having his saber skills, mechanical prowess, or his physical strength.

In a situation where you existed in the same world as your OC, would they be friends with you? Or alternatively, if your OC was your roommate, could you live with them?

I imagine he and I would get along decently. If this dude can befriend Sith Lords, Spies, Mercenaries and whatnot, he and I shouldn't have an issue. Just as long as he doesn't find out I created him.

If you could give one piece of advice to your OC, what would you say?

I'd tell him to take it easy and not put the whole of the galaxy's weight on his shoulders. Because ffs he really needs to hear that from someone.

An unlucky turn of events had caused him to wander into the Honey Bee Inn-- a necessary act to find intel from a certain professional showman. Said showman later told him he would be meeting a lovely woman who would tell him further information. Thus, he waited at the corner of the chamber behind a scarlet curtain, thinking to hide from the looky-looers. Suddenly, someone called for him. A familiar voice. Lord.... Cerberus? Well. It had a nice ring to it, at least. "Lady Hilda?" Confused, he looked around before approaching her, lowering his voice. "I could ask the same of you. What brings you here?"
