Tommy was laying across the floor, resting his head on Technoblade's lap while he ran his fingers through his hair, untangling any knots his curly hair might have. He was in so much peace that he wanted to live in that moment forever, he was so warm an felt so loved... He really missed being like that, the two of them.
—Are you confortable enough? Maybe we should move to the sofa—
—No, don't move... This is fine—
Tommy clung to Techno's shirt, no wanting the piglin to move, he didn't want this to end.
The older just laught at his reaction and continue to brush his hair with his fingers.
—Okay, i get it, we will stay on the floor—
So, they stayed like that for a while. Tommy felt like he was going to fall asleep, but at the same time he was scared. Scared of waking up at his dirt hut, with the only sad blanked that he owns covering his body.
He didn't want that, he liked the warm in Techno's cabin, he missed staying with him, but there was no going back, he had fucked things up beyond repairable.
—I just wish this was real... —
He said, thinking outloud, trying to keep the tears from falling down his face.
Techno stopped petting his hair, he didn't moved at all.
—What do you mean, Tommy? —
—You know what i mean... I just wish you were really here, that we could be like this again—
They both stayed in silence for a moment, the only sound to be heard was the burning wood at the chimney. But then Techno decided to break that silence.
—And why couldn't be this real, Tommy? —
The blond just laught quietly at that, deciding to just keep his eyes close, don't wanting to feel the wattery in his eyes.
—You know perfectly why it can't. You hate me, I fucked up. I hurted you one too many times and now you don't want to see me. Even if i tryed to apologize, you wouldn't let me—
—Tommy... — he heard Techno start, but he cut his words before he could continue.
—It's okay, I came to peace with it. Let me just keep dreaming a bit more, i missed being like this—
And after that, Techno didn't say anything more, he just started moving his hands through his hair again, letting the burning fire being the only sound to be heard, making him slowly fall asleep, unaware of the tears falling down Technos's face
