New Tiktok terms and services stating its requiring geolocation access to your device is wild.

They already do that.

They have been for a while.

Meta does that.

Google does that.

Hell, even temu and shien do that.

This feels like one of two things.

They want to spook the users and cause a mass exodus from the platform OR they want it to seem like they have obtained "consent" to profile, geolocate, and sell your information to the government if you seem like you're becoming organized.

Remember kids. The government can't demand your information without a subpoena.

But they sure as hell can purchase it.

Y'all I'm so sad cause I've had my tiktok account since 2018 and I just had to delete the app cause of the new terms and services. I'm going to figure out how to delete my account without accepting because the new terms are actually insane.

If you can please do not accept the terms, they will be keeping track of your gender identity, sexuality, immigration status as well as making it much harder to sue them etc. This administration will use this information against you.

(And before anyone says anything yes I know apps already take your data, but this is like x100 worse)
