the munâs interpretation
;x { not like i have anything to do with my life anyway so why notÂ
â Do you agree with fandom interpretation of your character?
To an extent, yes.Â
†Has your muse developed to be different from their canon selves through roleplay?Â
yep, definitely. okay, i know many dislike my portrayal of Asami because itâs quite the difference between her canon self, ( but this is also a blog for her modern self, so you do have to take that into consideration) but I have definitely developed her character more and more through interaction.Â
â Any unpopular opinions about your muse?
Iâm such a disappointment but I donât think I really have any. that or I canât think of any at the moment.
⧠Any part of their canon portrayal you dislike?
for sure. I dislike that she has been put off many times, degraded, and recognized as âunimportant.âÂ
⯠Is your muse liked or disliked by fandom? Does this affect your portrayal?
there is definitely a side of the fandom that hates Asami. what bothers me is not the simple dislike of the character, but the statements that go along with it. âshe wasnât importantâ âwhat another wasteful femaleâ stuff like that makes me very furious. but it doesnât affect my portrayal in the slightest !
âą Whatâs your opinion on different interpretations of your muse?
I thoroughly enjoy reading otherâs interpretations of my muse ! I love reading headcanons others have for Asami, and I love to see the different aspects that many change and interpret in their own ways.Â
⊠Has your own interpretation changed from when you first began playing the character?
yes. iâve had multiple interpretations when I first developed this blog, and if you look at some of my old writings, you can definitely distinguish the character difference. Asami is a very complex character, and it took me awhile to really dig deep and understand her more before I could set a specific interpretation of her.
â Has new canon material ever forced you to adjust your headcanons?
nope ! i canât recall any headcanons that I have that may be slightly incorrect due to canon material.
â What do you wish the author would reveal/had revealed about your muse?
hmm uh definitely more about Asamiâs mother ! I felt a bit detached from Asamiâs background because of only her fatherâs presence. Itâs always fun to headcanon about what her mother would have been like, but it would have been really nice to learn more about Asamiâs background.Â
âż Why did you decide that they [insert headcanon here]?
I should probably explain the reasoning behind why I headcanon Asami as an alcoholic. I must admit some of my own personal background did tie into the development of this interpretation. But mainly the reason why I wished to pursue this route of interpretation is because I believe so strongly that Asami would have been a fan of fancy bottle of liquor, and the surroundings of a bar with plenty of people to distract her pain. she has suffered so much throughout her life, and I do believe she doesnât have good coping skills in the very least. I believe that the people that care about her most in her life (like Korra) wouldnât have even been able to stop her from throwing herself into the dangerous life of alcohol. sadness can be really hard to bare, and especially with being CEO of an entire business, it can literally drive you to drink.Â
â Share a headcanon you have not shared.
come to think of it, I havenât really shared many omg okay uhIâve always thought that Asami deeply struggled with her bisexuality at times, and that her orientation was very noticeable when she was just a child. even though most children regard their feelings as normal and assume that there is nothing wrong with what they are feeling inside, I always imagined that Asami was one to realize the underlying transgression of her feelings. Asami was definitely a smart kid, and Iâm sure that this was a major factor in her desire to separate herself from others as she grew. I feel like this lead to a predisposition of anxiety disorders, and an underlying level of sadness that definitely went unnoticed. Iâm sure she struggled with sleep more than the average child, and Iâm sure thatâs why she is unstable as an adult. I believe many if not all of her issues had gone so unnoticed that even her mother was not able to pick up on her childâs feelings.
'In New York, you can be a new man! Or woman. Or neither. But you get the point!' all i can see is that dancing zebra from madagascar how did this happen 2 me
It was already past business hours, but there was this particularly loud lively customer that decided to stay behind and wait for this waiter to finish cleaning up tables and half finished glasses of whiskey or whatever fruity drink the last couple decided to try before a spit take took place.
He didnât mind the company, not at all. (Even if at first, he was the one who was imposing his company upon her, varying from quoting Hamlet to singing one of Frank Sinatraâs many hits: âFly me to the moooooonâ-) This made the time to finish cleaning up back at the cafe faster and more enjoyable. Especially if their conversations swung back towards classical poetry (âOf all the things you had to pick to read, it had to be Nevermore, didnât it-â)
A laugh escaped the waiterâs mouth as he turned back towards the young woman (with a grin so wide it reminded him of a lionâs), and sent her a smirk of his own:
ââŠYou know, youâre right about that. âŠBesides, Iâve always wondered what kind of life Iâd have if I were out in the lively streets of New York City as a woman. Youâd think Iâd blend in with the whole knee length boots and pencil skirts, or just stick with the slacks-â
Of course, this also meant he had a new friend to troll around with. But she was definitely a fun company. One who tolerated Shakespeare. He always enjoyed having a friend who could appreciate Shakespeare.
@ternpestuous
The mugâs rim is scalding the bud of her bottom lip, steam flushing features dewy; Korra has not yet responded. Or, perhaps to phrase that a little more accurately, she has not yet spoken. Her clenching fist and gaze, turning heavy as slate, heavy as marble, viciously unblinking, glinting under dark brows which have found a dangerous furrow with barely a single movementâwell, all of that is still communication, even if itâs not necessarily the verbal kind.
Less than a week. She was gone for less than a week.
Mug set down on the table, fingers adjusting, then flattening on the table, then curling into her lap as she leans back in her seat, letters very much forgotten on the desk in front of her. It isnât that sheâs about to fling anything at him, probably. But she fists up her hands just in case, and searches for stillness of body, since serenity of mind is not something that would be within her current grasp, were she to reach for it, Korra thinks. On the plus side, with regards to her own personal discipline, if not her anger control, nobody is screaming yet. âWould you perhaps care to just detail for me the precise nature of raging shit-storm that Iâve hypothetically walked back into this week?â
Iroh felt confident enough in his reflexes -he could block a bomb mid detonation, after all- but he could feel the adrenaline burning in his blood as muscles tensed and sinews twisted under Korraâs skin, coiling her destructive power like a spring. Â If he couldnât defuse her altogether, he at least had the chance to direct it elsewhere. Â Seconds dragged on for years in the eerie stillness of the office, the ringing of phones and staccato click of telegraphs down the hall a distant blur, his own tea forgotten (to his venerated namesakeâs eternal shame, no doubt)Â as the greatest danger of his life breathed down his neck.
âLook, you know Raikoâs unscrupulous and unprincipled.  Heâll do whatever he thinks he can get away with if it means more wealth and power for him and his party.â  He couldnât let Korra forget what kind of man they were dealing with.  Not a big, bellowing, fire breathing monster. Just a greedy, petty, thoughtless politician afraid to face the consequences of his actions.  âHe thought he could pull a fast one on you by ordering me to stage a border incident with the former Earth Empire troops, and use it as an excuse to occupy that whole province.â  Iroh was skidding on thin ice there, since of course it was exactly the plan heâd proposed to Korra three years ago.  But that was different.  That was when their own, her family, were threatened; he couldnât just stand by and do nothing.  âI told him I wouldnât go along with this, but he threatened to find someone who would.  There was only one option then.â

top five lady characters!
shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit. MADISON Y U DO THESE THINGS TO ME. Only five??? Okaaaaaaaaay um. These are in no particular order, and obviously this is not a comprehensive list, but Iâll try to narrow it down:
â CRESSIDA, obvs. This lady has changed my life a lot, not just because sheâs epic and awesome, but because sheâs also led me to meet some epic and awesome friends through roleplaying her.Â
â LORELAI GILMORE. My love for her knows no bounds. She is like my one true self. My caffeine-dependent queen.Â
â ANGELICA PICKLES. Sheâs so obnoxious, self-centered, sadistic, and all-around BAD, and I LOVE HER LIKE MY OWN SMOL CHILD. FITE ME.
â PETRA ANDEL. I love her so much. THAT ACCENT. THAT HAIR. THAT FACE. THAT ATTITUDE. Sheâs so amazing and flawed and great.
â EFFIE TRINKET. Queen of my heart & soul, love of my life.
HONORABLE MENTION: REY. I just saw The Force Awakens yesterday, but Iâm in freaking love with Rey, ok. She has to be mentioned.
