I should've posted this a week ago, but I, a fellow bud, am humbly requesting your eyes. I know this is abouta be a lot...

If you would be so kind as to check out this prototype cannabis app I made for a school project? We need to do user testing and I was told I could post it online since I only know like 4 people irl.

A few things you need to know:

You do NOT need an account to view the prototype. It will bring you to a mock-up phone on Figma that you can click around on like a real app. You also do NOT need to be a stoner to participate. Why? See my next point.

Not all of the buttons lead somewhere (if you click on something that doesn't work, the buttons that DO work will highlight blue). This idea has more to do with the design flow and concept than it does with function. Basically, I just need to make sure it looks good and makes sense (which is why you don't need to be a cannabis-lover).

This prototype's main purpose is for journaling your sessions. Theoretically, it would take information about the strains and other details and analyze it to spit out a report with hard data and even recommendations. For example, do you want to know how many strains you smoked with Linalool in their main terpenes? Would you also like to know how many of them you rated five stars in one month? You could do that! Then you could take the recommendations and decide if its something worth looking further into.

The app is primarily geared towards medical marijuana users and those who have access to strain information, but the goal is to make sure its desirable for every kind of user, potentially inspiring people to learn more about what they're toking up. The intention is that the data logged would be able to be used scientifically, particularly when it comes to the terpenes - anonymously assessed by people a lot smarter than I am (I wish I was a STEM girlie too).

Unfortunately, I couldn't figure out how to make functional ALT text, so I can't speak on what the app will sound like through screen readers.

How was the legibility of the app?

Did the buttons go where you expected them to go?

Were there any spots where you weren't sure where to go next?
