What position I think you would play: I think you would make for a great midfielder! Mostly because they're all about supporting everyone, both defenders and forwards, and I think that suits you best.

The hissatsu technique that fits you: Sargasso is a good fit! It's very strong, water-based (though I may be biased there due to your love for Guraami), and a combo hissatsu too, which would go well with your dependable nature.

What element would you have: Most definitely Air.

Your Hissatsu Technique Partner(s): I know Guraami is a tempting answer for both this and the next question, but I'll try to be less obvious. Your love for the unloved characters would probably make you get along with Ichino and Aoyama, and together you would create a 3-person combo hissatsu that would make them remotely relevant for once in their lives. Who your best friend would be: Sangoku! You would bond over being older than everyone else in a self-derogatory way

Who your rival would be: Everyone from Sandorius, for starters, because they'd come up with all sorts of horrible puns about how water has no way to survive for long in their planet and you would eventually be very tired of their crap. As for rivals who don't require you to travel to other planets... I think some may bully you if they see how nice you are, but I wouldn't call them rivals--just annoying people.

Hmmm... Probably Gyarados, and even more so if it’s its shiny form! I have so many memories of using the same Gyarados in Pokémon Yellow, Gold and Crystal :”3

I would say Oshawott! It just looks so squishy... And it’s not spiky yet, which helps when you want to hug it.

To be perfectly clear, I love basically all Pokémon, and there isn’t any that looks especially dumb to me, but if I have to choose one... I guess Bibarel? (That probably counts as the dumbest looking Normal type, too lol)

Aegislash! Especially the one you gave me, which I used all throughout Alpha Sapphire :D

It’s a tie between Decidueye and Gengar. The latter is not a Pokémon I’ve ever used (in fact, Aegislash and Decidueye are the only Ghosts I’ve had in my teams), but I love its design and I want to use a Gengar in the next Pokémon game I play! ...Whenever I get a Switch--

Oh, gosh, I don’t know. Most of my teams have been comprised of the first Pokémon you find in each game, so I love so many of those early-route babies. But if I am forced to choose, I’d probably say... Raticate...?

THIS QUESTION IS ACTUAL TORTURE, NGL. But I have always had a soft spot for Porygon, and since I haven’t mentioned it yet... I’ll go with Porygon.

I thought it was going to be Bibarel again, or Bidoof. But no. I just remembered there are two Normal types I actively dislike: Purugly and Watchog. The former, because I have traumatic memories from trying to defeat it in Pokémon Pearl and failing over and over (I never had any problems with Gen 2′s Miltank, but Purugly DESTROYED me). And Watchog is the only early-route Pokémon I’ve tried to use and have ditched because it just wasn’t doing it for me at all. Maybe mine simply had horrendous stats, idk, but it left a bitter taste in my mouth. So, yeah, those two.

Please write about your savior and mine, Handa Shinichi!

HOO, BOY. This comes very late, but it’s one hell of a subject.

There’s a ton to say about Handa, and in so many senses, so this is a very difficult question to answer. So, since I can’t really ask you what you meant to ask all those months ago, rather than blurting out a bunch of facts (that’s what Wikia is for, after all), I think it’s best to talk about why Handa is my loser saviour. It’s quite the nice story, actually.

In order to understand this story, we must go back to 2011-2012. At that time, I was first introduced to an ongoing Twitter trend: accounts that pretended to be fiction characters. I was first introduced to them as “bots,” but what they meant to say was “roleplay accounts.” That was a pretty big mistake from them, looking back. ww

Inazuma RP accounts (and bots, for that matter) were pretty prominent at that time--ah, the good old times! But they were all English or Japanese, and, as you surely know, I’m a disgusting Spaniard. ...I’m actually Basque, but that’s another issue. Anyway, that friend introduced me to that concept because he wanted us to create “Spanish bots” (aka Spanish roleplay accounts) to get that thing rolling in our own language. You know, create a little community of Spanish-speaking people acting as Inazuma characters. It seemed like a fun little idea, so I tagged along.

My friend, some other common friends of ours and I, therefore, created our accounts. My friend chose... Kanon, I think? Other people chose Hiroto, Kazemaru, Midorikawa... You know, popular ikemen shotas. Meh. And, as you may have guessed, I choseEndou.

Yep. Endou was my first option. I wanted to be a cruel, sarcastic captain that could rule above all with an iron fist. Which I was--and I wasn’t even the most OOC person there. It was bonkers. ...Bonkers, and not much fun at all, really. Just some new way to be dumb on Twitter.

Anyway, the thing was actually pretty successful! A lot of people contacted our “sbots,” as we called them (my account was called @EndouMamoru_sbot, for instance) and seemed to like them. And, in fact, things were so successful that my friend aggresively pressed me to friendly suggested me to pick new characters to make our little universe even bigger. New people joined as Kidou, Gouenji or Fubuki, the previous members picked new characters like Tsunami or Aphrodi, and my friend chose... Tobitaka. I think. As for me, I chose Fudou and, now yes, your saviour and mine, Shinichi Handa.

Fudou is easy to explain. I had brought my heavily traumatized Endou (that’s another different story) back to the good path, but people missed my shittiness, so I was told to pick him. It wasn’t even my idea. XD

As for Handa, I just wanted someone... neutral. Someone from Raimon, because I frigging love Raimon, and someone that didn’t have much of a fixed personality so I could just play around with some freedom. You know, *+*+*character development*+*+*, since that’s always a fun thing to do. So, almost by chance, I ended up choosing him among the many forgotten players of Raimon. And that’s how my love story began.

At some point, my friend finally realised that what we had were RP accounts, not “bots.” As such, the name “sbot” didn’t make sense anymore, so all of us changed our account names to the cringiest things we could find. And, soon after, my friend magically realised something that was actually obvious:

OUR PARTNERS WERE ALL FUNKING SHIT. LIKE, UTTER, DISGUSTING SHIT. It’s not an offense because it’s truthful (and they’ll never read this). I won’t go into detail because it pisses me off, but I’ll just say that Midorikawa tried to sexually assault my Endou. Yyyyyeah.

So, my friend (who was no RPing god either, but he was slightly better, anyway) suggested that the two of us, along with the friend who played as Kidou, moved on from that little Spanish group of ours. And, following his advice, we did exactly that.

Btw, the friend who played as Kidou was great. I miss him.

You know, if you ask any of the friends I made during that time, I’m sure they’ll all mention Endou as the character they remember. And, ironically, I met and got close to most of them using Handa! Quite the plot twist, huh? But that’s just Handa--no one ever remembers him except his closest friends, aka @audreykare‘s Kageno and @utrymmee‘s Max. GOSH, I MET SUCH INCREDIBLE PEOPLE. I’M GETTING EMOTIONAL. I’D BETTER NOT DELVE INTO THIS TOO MUCH--

A-anyway. So, I came to be in touch with Handa randomly, but that was by no means enough to make me love him. I have also played as Midori, Hide and even Pantsu and none of them is nearly as close to my heart as Handa. So, what makes Handa special?

The most relevant thing is that Handa is very interesting and deep as a character, but is still rather... unexplained. There’s a lot of room to explore him, but there’s also a lot of room for personal creation. While Endou and Fudou were much more developed, there was a lot to make up with Handa. And that led to something curious.

Fudou had my sarcastic, asshole side that hides an extreme pain and sorrow. Endou had my extreme care for my friends and my positive view of life (and I’ve been told many, many times that I’m like him because of that ww). And Handa... Handa got the last part of my personality. The social anxiety, the timid nature, the lack of self-esteem and talent, the rejection, the bad feelings. That poor boy had to put up with all my crap, literally. And I say literally because I was literally shoving my issues on him. I was creating him to have issues that, yes, were hinted by the canon, but had never reached such deep levels. And, like it or not, we always tend to empathise more with people who share our bad traits rather than with those that share our good ones.

It didn’t stop there, though. As you may know, I write. And I write about Handa. I have a full, long(, incomplete) fic about Handa trying to get over all of that crap in order to turn into a better person. And that fic... Gosh, that fic. If his RP life sucked, his fic life is tons worse. In his RP life, Handa developed hissatsus, fought (and almost joined) Neo Japan, got a cute girlfriend, got close to many people and, well, had a good time despite Kageno and Max messing him up. In his fic life, however, Handa suffered from extreme heartbreak, was bashed, insulted and humilliated publicly, was made to feel worthless, felt like he didn’t belong to Raimon, experienced death and had to take many, many hits for the team--aka had to comfort others while he was still in extreme pain. In other words, he experienced much more of my own crap than ever before.

After all he has done, all he has put up with because of me and just how similar to me he is in his insecurities and defects (and, yes, I made it worse, but the base was already there), how could I not love this wonderful loser with all of my heart?

So, long story short, I came across Handa completely randomly and I never expected I would love him as passionately as I do now, but he’s just a great source of inspiration for me and I’m so glad I came to know better and love such a great character! And, despite all the pain, he has brought so many wonderful things to my life: friends, writing, knowledge, a way to turn all my awful feelings into art and much, much more. That’s yet one more thing I owe to roleplaying.

About nothing in particular? Hmm, let me see…

My favourite Digimon season is 02. Also, my least favourite is Tamers, by far. Everyone I know snaps at me for not liking Tamers and keep saying 02 was shit, but it’s the exact opposite for me. I loved 02 because we got SO MANY kinds of evolutions, and I love that way too much. Also, Armadillomon is the second best companion ever–only Tentomon beats him, and Armadillomon even gets his crest, so. I’m actually so sad 02 kids aren’t in Tri. I would have loved to see their Digimons reaching the mega state too or whatever. I’ve always been pissed because Stingmon never evolved even though Ken had his own crest, so… yeah. I’d have loved to see it.

As for why I don’t like Tamers, well… I simply couldn’t get into it. I liked the first few episodes a lot, with the whole card thing changing the Digimons. That was SO COOL. But they ditched that so fast. If anything, they gave their Digimons wings once in a while and that’s that, but all they cared about in the end were the blue cards to evolve. They had an extremely cool feature that didn’t go anywhere. Not to mention that they eventually gave everyone their own Digimon and didn’t do shit with it… Guardromon and stuff were just kind of… there. Ugh. I hate that.
