who’s the werewolf and who’s the hunter doctorFitzjames is a dapper artist who has become afflicted with a disease that turns him into a terrible beast at night. Goodsir is the personal doctor he brings in to look after him and hopefully find a cure for his dreadful affliction. Goodsir is nervous at first but James’ charming personality and lavish affections begin to reassure him. In between the animal murders and wound tending, they slowly begin to fall in love~

who’s the mermaid and who’s the fisherman artistI love this trend of selkie!terror boys so ofc I have to say selkie!Goodsir. I can see a scenario where James is on a holiday with his brother and his brother’s family to the oceanside where James comes across Goodsir while swimming in the water. Harry excitedly following him to shore so James can sketch him. William’s kind of used to weird and dramatic things happening when his brother is involved so he’s not terribly startled to see this supposedly mythical sea creature just posing for his brother on a rock.

who’s the knight adviser and who’s the prince(ss)Goodsir is the nervous and gentle adviser to a very dramatic and adventurous prince whose charming personality gets him into all sorts of situations that Goodsir then has to get him out of. Everyone tries to get James to focus properly on his work, but Goodsir is the only one who has any success in the matter.

who’s the teacher and who’s the single parentJames is the drama teacher who sees an immense amount of talent in Harry’s son, John Jr. Harry, not being terribly bold himself, has a hard time believing his son has a love for theater. James invites Harry to be apart of the production, and Harry discovers a new love of his own ;3c

who’s the writer and who’s the editorGoodsir works on biology journals, with James as his editor. They both include photography and drawings they’ve done to liven up the journals (”Scientific text can be so dry!!” James laments.)
