I finally took the time to view favorite painting. All ingenious lies in the sensations of human to himself and the surrounding world. This film is not about war, this is a film about the struggle of everyone with yourself, every day, all his life. How many feelings and emotions i experience every time when watching. These monologues - visiting the gallery, followed by "Stendhal syndrome". I want to drown in it again and again... My country is the one just born chick, amid shots and explosions. I die with them every day and am born again. Life and death are parts of one mechanism. But one cannot get used to death, one can begin to treat it differently. More terrible that we carry her at life. I am infinitely grateful to the genius #terrencemalik . In a world without the grave dangers of love - there is hardly a purpose. We give in to our deepest desires. We spend our short existence in the arms of those that may not serve us. We let ourselves get weaponized by the taste of pure bliss.
Kit and Holly, lovers in 1959 South Dakota.
Kit is 25 and Holly is 15.
Kit reminds everyone of the great James Dean and Holly looks like Lolita. Holly’s father obviously disapproves.
They partake in a string of murders across the Great Plains.
Not only are the performances from Martin Sheen and Sissy Spacek raw, but the cinematography creates a dream-like atmosphere that’s hard to parallel. The story is enveloped in warm tones and The Great Planes. The director, Terrence Malick says this of the production design, "Nostalgia is a powerful feeling; it can drown out anything. I wanted the picture to set up like a fairy tale, outside time."
Try not to spoil it for yourself by looking up who it’s loosely based off of (Carli Fugate & Charles Starkweather); This lets you enjoy the story aimlessly, finding the simplistic nature of every scene. The plot of the movie is interesting enough, but the screenplay is what took me over completely.
I found myself rooting for both Kit and Holly, encompassing myself in their love and their lack of direction. I so desperately want them to both see therapists.
In reviewing films -- I’ve found myself searching for what often draws me away from one. It’s rarely the ratings, it’s rarely the plot, but it’s often my inherent idea that I have something better to do. If you too have this same mindset, I encourage you to just click play. It’s this impulsivity that will help you enjoy more & create more.
Let yourself be taken away by something that was designed to do just that. Engage in an art form created by someone to create something inside of you.

Terrence Malik’s latest film after the critic success of Tree of Life. The film stars Ben Affleck as a Midwesterner who meets his would be in Paris. Affleck soon realizes that he has feeling for his childhood love played by Rachel McAdams.
The significance of Terrence Malik releasing two films within two years cannot be underestimated. Malik is a patience director, taking his time with his films and creating them to perfection. Tree of Life was a beautiful, masterpiece of color and cinematography. This could be another Malik masterpiece and definitely is a must-see at the festival.
