[ahhh thanks! uwu okay so, let me think. according to the timelines in vlr, akane and junpei aren't supposed to meet until the 3rd AB game. for my akane, a few things that shouldn't have happened already took place, so it's safe to assume that in this timeline, she'll encounter more discrepancies. we know that junpei has been looking for her, so what if he's successful? he might be able to get into the crash key's HQ and confront her directly, or it could be something random like-- they meet at a place where she can't just vanish into thin air.]

There's a certain pang of pain that echoes through her heart. Remi is always a factor, and she's destroyed her entire life with the swish of her hand. But her husband, and then her son..? Revan.. She can only think about how he's fairing. Nine doesn't mean anything to her and his fingers against her skin feel misplaced, like they're better suited elsewhere -- on another body, not her own.

Her heart beats irregularly for a few moments, each throbbing with a little more pain than the last.

Her arms wrap around her frame, and she says nothing, wallowing in the self-pity. As strong as she thinks she is, she's not when it comes to her family -- or what had been her family, at one point, as she's been severed.

Maybe it's better off that way.

Maybe I'm better off alone.
