Today is my last day of a six-straight-day grind at work. I'm very excited to have an off day so I can go back home to Chicago (where I now live) and get things further set up. I have Friday through Sunday off and plan on logging heavy time just locked in my room finally working on new music now that I finally have the time and nothing to stress about. The problem is, I know I should be working on my next EP, but my music headspace is more like the above sounds. Mugen has always been about what I've wanted to do as an artist, regardless of genre and sound, but I'm starting to think that freedom also makes it hard to establish oneself. Long story short, I may revisit my lo-fi psych/noise/drone roots but put it out under a different pseudonym. There's a lot going on in my head as I type this out, but I'm incredibly ecstatic and can't wait. On top of all that, it's going to be a great week(end) filled with shows and friends and of course, football. Pretty hype. Play me off, Avey.
