one year ago i drug my southern mother into atlanta to see dan and phil, and it created a monster.

to this day, dan’s legs in the sister daniel outfit live in her head rent free. she brings it up every chance she gets. she told my aunts. my grandmother. her therapy group. the other moms at the ballpark, who she told about sister daniel over doritos and gatorade at my brother’s youth soccer game. i can’t mention dan and phil without hearing about sister daniel’s legs. she has made me send her the original sister daniel post multiple times to provide a visual supporting argument. “mama, remember at the dan and phil show—” “i remember how good his legs looked in that nun costume.”
