Am I the only one who hates the new Tumblr update? I haven't seen any posts about it and I'm going insane
Have you seen the update in Spotify? Have you seen!? It's just awful!
- Limit on skipping songs.
- You can not go to the previous song in the playlist.
- No longer shows the list of songs in the playlist (what's next, past songs, etc.)
- When the authors release new albums, you can’t see what kind of songs! Only some inscriptions!
- The song editor does not work. Now the same song cannot be turned on and listened to.
They just recently downloaded this app and already love it! What a handy program! Now what? I'll have to look again for another program to listen to songs😢
They moved the tag button someone fucking help me
ACK
@staff why is my mobile dashboard white?! 😭 It shouldn't be white!! Not when I have dark mode/the dark color palette selected!! My eyes!! 😵 Put it back!!!
Wtf Tumblr. Your update is terrible!!!!!
So I often absent-mindedly click and highlight text when reading and now apparently that opens the post rather than just letting me tap around.
Thanks for nothing, Tumblr.
Tumblr staff and Dev Team,
Please listen to your users. The new update is not acceptable. I have been with tumblr for around 4 years now, so I’ve been through a lot of updates. Not one has made me complain about it until now.
The new layout is distinctly not tumblr. It doesn’t have the same feel or look to it, and is very offputting. Many users love the quirky way tumblr works, and want it to stay the way it was. On another note, the all-or-nothing comment removal is an inherently flawed concept. If you want to do anything with it, make it so the original comment can’t be removed so artists, creators, writers, and the rest of us feel safe in knowing that what we put out there can’t be removed. Not being able to remove just one comment doesn’t serve any purpose. If say, there are 4 good replies on a post, and one undesirable one, why should I have to remove everything just to remove the one that is bothersome? It doesn’t make logical sense.
You have consistently ignored actual problems with your app and site, like images failing to load and the messaging system not being adequate, while at the same time implementing design changes no one asked for. Even if there was someone who asked for this change, there are far too many people who are livid over this to simply ignore. I refuse to update to the new app. I don’t want to use the site on the computer either until it is returned to normal.
I don’t know why your team continues to fix what isn’t broken, then try to tell us how great we’ll think it is. We do not think it is great. It’s a shame you do not want to listen to your users. You’re pissing down our backs and telling us it’s raining.
I ask you to please listen to what we are saying. I’ve attached screenshots of reviews left on the Google Play Store about the new update to the app. No one from staff is replying to any comments there, and many people have concerns. This is just a small number of the reviews that have been written since the new update was released, but I hope it helps to illustrate my point. I hope you can read them and understand that this is no small problem, and I encourage you to seek out the other comments and concerns so many of us have. I love tumblr, it’s pretty much the only site I use on the daily, and I’m just saddened to see it treated like this by its own team.
Thank you.
