The world of language is a world I have yet to conquer. It intrigues, mystifies, and overwhelms me all at once with its endless combinations. They say you can convey all that your heart desires with one look. However I believe that you can do that and more with the power of language. You can reveal the realms of your soul with just one word — a murmur if nothing more. With the power of linguistics you can blast open an infinite number of doors, all leading to entirely different worlds — worlds that croon different melodies of laughter and human sadness. They lure you in with their unambiguous ambiguity and you wonder how can these words, these sounds, so definite so clear, mean so much more than what they really are. How can the word love encompass more than what someone will experience in their lifetime while failing to decipher half of what someone else feels in a day.

I asked you something earlier but not sure if you'll remember because my god this blog is popular! Anyway, I understand totally where you're coming from but I just can't relate bc I live in a community where I've always been the only Indian and still honestly I've never dealt with racism and never been really told to go back to India. People have always lauded my culture, my best friends wanna visit India with me. They love our culture and they want to learn about it and always been respectful

I remember your message (my followers and I didn't really appreciate how you chose to be classist and bring up that you're a Brahmin.)  Btw my (and a lot of other people's) experiences differ from yours immensely. We have and will continue to face such discrimination and that's why we fight so much for this cause. It's important not to erase the voice of Desis whom cultural appropriation really does bother and hurt.
