My fursona and some larp characters as some Animal Crossing neighbors.
Larp characters from start to finish. A send off for my first LARP campaign I've ever played.
A conversation with Fate.
entire oc/larp rant under the cut
i just realised both of my characters from a larp i play at are both headstrong but in different ways
my old (and first ever) character, Terry, was the “im a teenager with angst and i think i know everything” kind of headstrong. That sort of mixed with the “im also a werewolf and the wolf spirit in me is also stubborn and headstrong and believes that she is stronger and better than everyone else” and kind of mixed together in an angsty ball of arrogance and know-it-all-ness. she got a little wiser though over time.
the character im playing now, Eser (they a robot), who doesnt really understand much about how the surface world works (“whats a chicken??”) and has only been on the surface for like 7 years honestly believes that the world is a lot better place than people think it is and that they should spread that good will and positivity in any way they can despite cynicism spitting in their face at every opportunity. they also decided to organise the town into a sort of organised defense because they want the town to be effective at defending and protecting each other so they stepped up to take that responsibility (yaay tactics bot).
but they also happen to be straightforward to the point of brutal honesty and they expect no less than to at the very least be treated like a person because they *earned* being a person by becoming a divine general of their god, the God of War (tactics/savagery). but since like 95% of the town doesnt think they are even after literally voting Eser to be captain of the town guard which literally requires the town to treat people in that position with respect, they are just beginning to suspect the majority of the town is gods damned hopeless. Besides that, the town also refuses to consider anything that might prove that they may be wrong for once in their lives.
Also my character isn’t very good with emotions or jokes in general (they are 85% literal but understand sarcasm and metaphors and have 3 emotions in total), and doesnt get zealousy in any form. They genuinely are a firm believer that their god, who they consider the greatest general of all time and that no one will surpass him ever, is not above mistakes. The fact that the town can’t think for themselves and refuse to see their own faults is the reason my character is absolutely fucking livid with the town right now
in short, the town is a bunch of religious, zealous hypocrites who have no critical thinking skills and refuses to treat the sentient robots like people, which pisses off my character because all 3 of them (theres 2 other PCs who are the same race) have earned it in my character’s eyes. And also general personality clashes and frustration with no one thinking for themselves in the slightest.
Terry put up one more tavern post saying her goodbyes and so many people commented on it. Needless to say Terry was surprised.
Today was fun, and the last day of my LARP event. I'm sad that Terry is being retired, but she lives on in my heart. I've been playing her for over a year now, and her main arc has ended. But it has also springboarded someone else's arc, which is bittersweet at best.
Damn, Terry. Back at it again with the flowers.
Poor Terry cannot catch a break...
