'Lip Sync Battle': Mike Tyson and Terry Crews Go Head-to-Head
On this week’s Lip Sync Battle, Brooklyn Nine-Nine actor Terry Crews got into the ring to go up against former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson. The result was a lot of spandex, and a lot of dancing pecs.

First up, Tyson took on the Rolling Stones’s “I Can’t Get No (Satisfaction)” — strutting, jumping, caressing his body, and doing some flailing move that, to our knowledge, has no name. The more polished Crews went with the song that made him a man when he was a lonely 12-year-old, Run-DMC’s “Sucker MC’s.” (Hence the crotch-grabbing?) Both men worked up a sweat.
In the second round, which involves the costumes, Crews wore a white tux sans shirt for Vanessa Carlton’s “A Thousand Miles” (which he performed in 2004′s White Chicks). He started off at the piano, then lost the jacket for a ribbon dance. You read that right. Tyson opted for Salt-N-Pepa’s “Push It” and basically just thrashed the entire time. While he gets props for his enthusiasm and commitment, there’s no contest.
Lip Sync Battle airs Thursdays at 10 p.m. on Spike. It has been renewed for a second season.
Terry Crews Lip Syncs the 'Golden Girls' Theme Song to Betty White
The TV Land Awards are fast approaching and leading up to Saturday’s broadcast, Terry Crews’s opening number has been revealed. The Brooklyn Nine-Nine star lip-synced several popular sitcom theme songs including tunes from “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” “Friends,” and more. The best moment, though, came when Crews wandered out into the audience and found TV legend Betty White, all while he lip-synced the theme song to her hit show The Golden Girls. Betty played along for the performance, embracing Terry as he kissed her on the cheek with the crowd — featuring many famous faces — begging for more. Crews ended the lip sync and dance with an over the top final number, mouthing the words to the Good Times theme song, complete with a backing gospel choir.
The TV Land Awards are an annual award show commemorating TV shows that have gone off of the air, with this year’s broadcast airing on Saturday, April 18 at 9 p.m. on TV Land.
