Desire was... He didn't know how to feel right now. He was going to go and see someone. Someone he had wanted to be a parent too, when he had failed the first time. He had failed out of.. Cowardice. Out of fear. And that hurt. Hurt him in ways that made his stomach twist into aching knots. Into a feeling of cold where his hearts were. He felt.. Lethargic, and he knew he would need to see him soon. But his leaden legs didn't want him too, but he had too.
So he found himself malingering, dragging his feet there. Unable to really.. Go. Just yet.
Tess had a knack for hiding from people; mortals, aetherials, and even certain gods wouldn't be able to track her if she utilized one of her abilities as a destroying angel.
However, as her tenure in Philadelphia had proven, no matter what she could do, she couldn't hide from demons. Angels and demons were destined to fight each other all the time, it seemed, so the cosmic laws of the universe prevented them from completely hiding from each other.
As if Anubis and his squeeze weren't bad enough, Asheville apparently had a demon roaming around town, one that also had a vaguely bipedal canine form. If it was one of Anubis's ilk, Tess would have just left him alone, but there was a demonic presence he gave off that was dissimilar from the one Anubis or his son gave.
Since there was no use hiding, Tess suddenly landed in front of him, a good 30 feet away. The demon could see a short, petite woman with light brown skin. She had short, white hair in a pixie cut and had eyes with white sclerae and golden irises. She had an accusatory frown that said so much without her saying anything at all.
Her wings were briefly visible when she landed, white, brilliant, and feathery. They dissipated the moment the angel crossed her arms, her torso covered in a white button-up jacket. She had black jeans and beige heels on, as well as a device that looked like a Bluetooth headset in her ear.
She eyed the demon closely, looking for any sign of attack.
