4) favorite character you’ve written
Is it silly to say Prompto Argentum? He’s easily the one I feel at ease writing about/as! It’s why all my major works have a Prompto focus. If I had to pick someone else though, I’d have to say that I also enjoy writing Ignis! He has a lot of layers and I relate to him quite a bit.
5) character you were most surprised to end up writing
I’ve got a pretty major original character (unheard of, for me) coming up in a fic soon and I’m pleasantly surprised to be actually... liking writing him! I’m very used to writing fic, and throwing this non-canon dude in a fairly important role is real fun and very different from my usual work (I have written a good deal of original fiction but it usually doesn’t go anywhere any gets scrapped after 2k-20k words)
25) copy/paste a few sentences or a short paragraph that you’re particularly proud of
I struggle with having anything more than mildly positive opinions of my work but I actually have two bits from the same fic that I really enjoyed writing (one because of vague humor and one because of feelings) so I’ll just stick ‘em both here.
Prompto deliberates. On the one hand, he’s not really fond of making Ignis do any more than the poor man already has to. He always seems so busy. On the other hand, Prompto doesn’t want to walk all the way home. It’s cold and dark, and he has school in the morning. On a third hand, sprouting out from the sternum perhaps, Prompto knows that Ignis isn’t likely to concede.
(It’s the sternum line that I like)
“Iggy, my man. I thought you’d be done testing me after all this time,” Prompto laughs, as if that isn’t the start of what Ignis knows may be one of the worst conversations he’s ever had to have in his young life.
(And there’s the feelings one. It’s a bit of a wham line that only has impact if you’ve read what comes before it but still!)
