It’s the era of the selfie -- everything is about yourself in the context of capitalism, which creates this atom bomb of darkness and destruction. We’re told that we have to present ourselves publicly otherwise we don’t exist. All of these photos of ourselves, our cats, and smashed avocados -- it generates such a sad culture. It’s great for a woman to say, ‘I’m here and I’m happy with my image,’ but it’s imbalanced. Sometimes, I just want to post a semi-naked selfie on my Instagram to be like, ‘I’m sexy too,’ but you have to do it for the right reasons and not because you feel pressured to post content.
