omg haha twirl my hair what is this tetheredverse thing i keep seeing <- BLATANT EXCUSE FOR U TO TALK AB PROJECTS IF U WANNA
KILLING YOU???
AUGH. Fine. Tetheredverse is where Carlos and Cyrus -- my chief meow-meows -- live. It's not a real project yet it mostly just lives in my mind and occasionally escapes out of my hands.
The synopsis is that in the very, very near future people have superpowers and it makes people Scared, so they send them to "boarding schools" that are essentially prisons. For the protection of society at large. You know how it goes.
Cyrus becomes a dick because of the trauma and starts killing people and robbing banks, and Carlos is the scumbag detective who makes it his personal obsession to hunt him down. Cyrus ends up going way, way too deep into Carlos' mind during a fight and accidentally leaves a little piece of himself in Carlos (smirk emoji) which creates a weird mutually telepathic tether that causes problems. Hence the name "Tetheredverse."

"You're Striped," he says. He meets Cyrus' eye when they both turn, a table between them as a shield. "Your constitutional rights are suspended. If it's in the interest of public safety, I can hold you here as long as I need." Cyrus spreads his hands over the table, leans in, breathing gently over Carlos' cheek.
"Try." He barely has to whisper.
