Ah! Now thats more I like it.
Alright Tetonceler, lemme let you in on a little something…
The best way to remain on budget…
Is to run a ONE man show!!
Thats right! At this very moment, Im wearing the hat of the host, producer, stylist, lights, promotion-the WHOLE shebang!!
See, what I lack in this production’s scope I make up for in quality entertainment.
Its all about D.I.Y! What you do is ask yourself this: If I can do ‘insert job position here’, why should I pay anybody else to do it? Sure, that may be someone’s whole specialty but you can be a jack of all trades!-including theirs.
In addition, that right there is one of the best ways to pick up a new skill! You can even build your setup from found materials and it gets the job done! My big flashy show sign for instance? Entiiiiiiirely self-made from materials I already had lying around. AND the best part? I didn’t have to shell out even a CENT for it all! Do you have any idea how much a big flashy show sign usually costs?? A MINT. Thats what.
So really all you’ve gotta do is make all sorts of show stopping effects for your musical shows all on your own! All it takes is a little bit of resourcefulness. But I’m sure you will find if you give it a try, you will create something to take pride in.
