A Game That Becomes A Light.

Who doesn’t like playing tetris! This Russian game has been one of my favorite when I was a kid.

Some people may think that Russia is well-known for Vodka and men in furry hats but we think its greatest achievement is the creation of Tetris. Ever since 1984 we’ve been frantically rearranging blocks to arguably the most recognisable theme tune of all time. If you feel the Tetris love as much as we do then you’re gonna go crazy for this awesome, build-it-in-anyway-you-want, mood light.

About The Tetris LED Light.

The light is made of 7 individual tetriminoes. Each tetrimino piece has a different color and shape, and measures about 4cm x 4cm x 4cm. The pieces can be stacked in any combination and give the light whatever shape you want. You can change the tetris lamp’s shape anytime you want, even everyday.

The blue tetromino piece (base) has the power socket. The rest of the pieces have no sockets. When you have the blue tetromino plugged in the adapter and you start adding the rest of the pieces on it, they will magically illuminate once they touch each other. The tetrominoes are edged in metal so once the metal parts of two pieces touch the lights will turn on. So all you need to light up the whole light is one piece, the base.

If you remove a piece from the rest of the Tetris Light it will immediately turn off.

  I I like it, the only minor issue is that the contact between the blocks is a bit shaky. It is just a silvery surface on plastic, so the pieces have to be moved around and rubbed a bit on each other in order to get proper electrical connection. If whatever you have placed it on is bumped, the LEDs will flicker.

You can buy more than one and combine them to make the lamp bigger and be able to create even more shapes.

All in all, we loved this light. It’s so unique and it looks really nice in the dark.
