the inevitable next question is if nat /was/ the Inquisitior, how would she get along with her new companions?
I made her a mage, because she does actually have biotics despite being an Infiltrator so…
She and Varric wouldn’t get along at first, I don’t think. Nat’s the kinda person who thinks jokes have a time and a place, and due to Varric’s jokes, she’d probably club him over the head, or something.
Same with Sera, and probably Bull - Nat would accept their presence, and would be polite, but she wouldn’t like them AT ALL. Eventually, sure, she’d joke back - but Natalie’s polite with strangers, not ‘pally-pally’ with them.
Cassandra and Natalie… there’s an interesting question. Because, Natalie in ME always stood up for human biotics, so she’d probably be pro-mage, anti-circle. She’s always had phobias of being locked up, so it’d be her worst nightmare, living in a Circle. Cassandra is of course very pro-circle, as is Vivienne, so Natalie wouldn’t get along with either of them. Cassandra and her would warm up to each other, I think, from a shared love of cheesy love stories. (Not that Natalie would ever admit she cried to the ending of Hard In Hightown, despite it not being romantic.)
But vivienne? No. As long as Vivienne continued with the pro-circle state of mind, Nat wouldn’t get along with her.
Solas and Natalie would be besties, that I can bet on - their relationship would be much like Nat and Garrus’; mutual respect, friendship, and badassery. After the end of the game, when he disappears, Nat would probably search for him - as she would for any friend - then respect his wishes. If she found out the truth, she’d set him on fire.
Blackwall? Now, they’d get on too, up until his personal quest. Then she’d set him on fire. Then freeze him. then repeatedly kick him in his balls. Then, afterwards, she’d calm down and demand he explain. Then she’d headbutt him, and drag him back to Skyhold. Natalie would probably then pledge him to the Wardens. Fair’s fair, after all.
Cole would be Grunt 2.0; Mama Shep’s baby. Not that she’d mother him per say, but she’d teach him the ways of the world, and they’d read sappy books together and Cole would laugh at her tears. And she’d rip that hat off and give him a haircut, only to sigh when it’s regrown by the next hour.
(I’m gonna do advisors, what do you mean you didn’t ask for that?)
Leliana and her would get on, a bit. I mean, Natalie’s no pacifist - you betray her, you die - so Leli and her wouldn’t disagree on that angle, nor the mage one. Actually, they’d be quite close friends.
Same with Josephine; they’d be close too, unless Josie asked her to do something political, because no matter the universe, Nat hates politics. (It’s Anderson’s DNA, what do you expect?)
Cullen… Natalie and Cully-Wully would loathe each other, in the beginning. She’d see him as another Templar, he’d see her as walking abomination time bomb. But, then, of course, those prejudices would float away, and she and Cullen would be quite close. given the fact he’s quite similar to Kaidan (Because Bioware hates me), they’d probs get really close. *wink wink*
That was longer than anticipated. So not sorry.
