Okay but Tex knew Agent Florida. Why would she say there was only 49 Freelancers and imply that Florida either wasn't one of them or that the state of Florida no longer exists? In season 3 when she offers to help Tucker with their Wyoming problem, Tucker asks if there's 50 Freelancers ("One for each state? So there's 50 of you?") to which Tex replies, "49, remember?" And Tucker says "Oh, yeah. That's right. Man, poor Florida." And Tex goes along with it and I'm really confused bc at this point Tucker has no idea that Captain Flowers was Agent Florida or that Agent Florida was even a person, let alone that Agent Florida is dead (Capt. Flowers) and why does Tex just go along with it? She technically shouldn't even know yet that Florida is dead, should she? His new position in Blood Gulch before project freelancer ended wasn't exactly public information BECAUSE of the fact that the Alpha was there and nobody knew about the Alpha. Tex didn't know yet that this iteration of Church was the Alpha (let alone the fact that she herself was an AI). Besides all that, Florida WAS a freelancer. She knew him (barely, but still). It's not like his entire existence was kept a secret from her. Was she just trying to throw Tucker off by referencing the fact that the state of Florida had broken off the U.S. or something?? Or did she somehow know that Florida had been assigned to Blood Gulch and wanted to make sure Tucker didn't realize this??? Does anyone have answers or headcanons/theories cause I am L o s t.
