There we go, all fixed. I figured it was that post. If you see a gifset of Emma Watson and Rupert Grint doing the same motions at the same time don’t reblog it, it put a weird text ad code on my blog and now that I’ve deleted it it’s gone. :)

Ugh, I have this ridiculous thing that is apparently called Text Enhance on my computer and it is SO DAMN ANNOYING. So basically random words are highlighted in orange text that is also underlined and as a bonus these orange words lead to ads popping up if your mouse hovers over them. I have installed Adblock Plus but it doesn't seem to be doing it for me, and all the sites I go on to tell me how to remove this thing are advising me to remove extensions.
BUT IT'S NOT IN MY EXTENSIONS. I have looked. I have a grand total of 4 extensions and all of them are things that I installed. I also uninstalled the latest update of Java because I thought it might've been that but no, even that didn't work.
I am sick of this. It's not only annoying, but possibly also dangerous because these are not friendly ads popping up.
Does anyone have any advice beyond "Go to your extensions!"?
Does anyone know how to get rid of the Text Enhance malware/adware/whatever it is? I've tried everything but it's still there. Most places I look tell me to uninstall it or disable it from extensions but when I look there's nothing to uninstall.
I just fixed a problem affecting my tumblr regarding "text-enhance" ads appearing in the text of my posts
The solution to the problem for me was to use ctrl+u on every page since it started happening, then press ctrl+f and find "akama," and delete every script with that word. Whatever the akama thing is seems to be the perpetrator.
Text-Enhance Scare
Ok, so apparently (and thankfully), I wasn't the only one who turned on her computer today and saw those damn underlined link ads on my blog, and ONLY on my blog. Thankfully I only needed to delete one post from yesterday (it talked about vegans lying about facts regarding farms converting to all vegetation development). So if anyone else is having this same text-enhance problem, go back and delete recent posts you put up before the text-enhance started showing up.
I think my computer has text-enhance on it that keeps showing up whenever I go to my tumblr. I can't find it in my installed programs or in my chrome extensions to get rid of it.

So my chrome has been attacked my a nasty spyware that i cannot seem to get rid of. Anyone know how to get rid of something called "text enhance"? I've already disabled extensions, and plug-ins, cleared my cache and cookies and uninstalled the program that caused it, but it's still there. I've also blocked the sites on Ad-block, but they're still showing up. Any help would be super appreciated.
Can someone else let me know if they're having this issue?
Seem to be having trouble with what appears to be a touch of malware/adware in the form of text link pop ups, seems to call itself Browse to Save, google searches also bring up Text Enhance for this. Basically it's one of those handy little bastards that ends up as an extension or toolbar or somesuch on your browser or pc in general, but the problem is I've run every damn scan I can do, I have checked every browser for unknown extensions (even used Avast's tool for it, it says I'm clean). Avira says I'm free of icky things. Malwarebytes finds nothing. Manual searches are bringing up nothing. I'm at a loss.
The only thing left I can think is maybe this is an issue with tumblr itself right now? One of the sites I was checking for removal info had this to say:
Update: There has been recent website injections (malicious scripts) related to Text Enhance.
I'm really curious as to what's going on. As it is I can find no trace of this thing on my pc and the only browser it seems to effect (for what ever reason) is Chrome.
So, uh, anybody noticed any annoying text link ads on tumblr main (not dash) blog pages?
