Read Alan Rickman’s Heartfelt Goodbye Letter to Professor Snape and Harry Potter Fans

Alan Rickman died this morning at the age of 69 from cancer. Although the actor commenced his acting career at the later age of 41, his superb talent won Hollywood over.

His most famous role is playing the anti-hero, Professor Snape in the Harry Potter films; a deceptive, highly intelligent, cunning professor, who is truly good inside.

Here is a beautiful and heartwarming letter he penned for Empire Magazine in 2011, shortly after shooting his last scenes on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2.

Been taking a good break from social media to work on original work and my two comics. I already have the first Issue of one completed and it will be for sale on my future website; I will be getting together with my web designer to work on it after the holidays. In the meantime, I have also been working on a much-needed internet persona/fursona for myself, and I got her basic design down, at least from the neck up. This is the side-view sketch I am inking.

TERA was down one day last week, so I decided to play TFU2 again. While I was completing the Cato Neimoidia levels, I had an idea for a Neimoidian Sith who many know as the rich CEO of a company. So here’s Darth Zavod! Her real name is Turla Osoon, she is a sort of anti-hero type character. I don’t have much on her backstory yet except for the fact that she murdered her corrupt father and took control of his company around the same time she found her lightsaber and discovered her force powers. She does have some robes and another hat for conducting business, but this is her more seductive Sith outfit. Turla often uses her good looks to distract and manipulate her foes. She respects many of her foes and will try to kill them asap, but turns into a vicious animal when she faces off against her most hated enemies and her anger consumes her. She is pretty calm most of the time, but can be quite nasty to deal with when she’s angry and has a bit of an ego. Fun fact: “Zavod” is derived from “Zavodnicu”, Bosnian for seductress. Turla here looks really cool! I always liked the idea of a Sith Neimoidian (like the one with the black and red face tattoos) because you would never expect a Neimoidian to hold that position/power and it would catch anyone off their guard, thus giving her the upper hand. From the back story you have on her so far it sounds like she has a sort of “coming-of-age” story in that her discovering her lightsaber and Force powers coincides with her discovering her will to confront and ultimately defeat her corrupt father; but killing her father also leads her down the path of Darkness and ultimately to her struggles as an anti-hero. I like her outfit and the design choices you made. but I especially like how you chose colors that compliment each other (her nice greenish-blue skin and slightly blue-tinted black outfit with the bright red markings and background), nice work! The only thing I would suggest is to try to work on your shading and highlighting as it’s a little hard to figure out where the light source is (I have troubles with this, too) I also like her different body type and pose; keep up the great work, Moka!
