I've heard so many posts about "if they don't text you first then they don't really care about you". This may be true in some cases but it can't be used as a definiting theory for all circumstances. What if they are sitting there saying the same thing about you? What if they think that you don't care about them because you haven't texted them first, because you are waiting for them to make the first move. Now you have two people who really care about each other but are completely unaware of it because they are too scared to find out. But you'll never know if you don't try. Don't let the fear of rejection keep you from finding out. What have you got to lose? There should be no shame in letting someone know that you care about them. This doesn't just apply to couples, but to friends too. Take a bold first step and find out. You could be missing out on a great relationship
