Quickly Caleb learned that when your dad, you shouldn’t be drinking. He also learned that what ever a For Loko was, is was were strong as hell. After finishing one, he felt good and relaxed. He barely even tasted whatever alcohol was supposed to be in it. That’s how he ended up finishing the second one so quickly and texting Teddy. Surprising only to Caleb, he managed to mess up talking with Teddy and planned to just spend the evening alone. Maybe look into the archive of photos of Kenzie he had. But his chest ached for Teddy, in every way.
Half of another giant can later, he was on the verge of tears and texting Teddy again, begging him to come over. It was after that last half a drink when it suddenly wasn’t fun to drink anymore. The world was a sad place again, seemingly even worse than it was before he started drinking. While he still had the energy to, Caleb made sure the door was unlocked before lying back on the bed to wait for Teddy’s arrival.

Staring at the date on her locked iPhone screen, picture of an adorable cat in a cast as her wallpaper, Diana felt something tug in the back of her mind. She’d forgotten something, or something was soon...a deadline? “Oh my God...” Diana stopped dead in her tracks on the sidewalk, staring down at her phone. “I completely forgot my birthday was on the 24th...” With everything going on, the Spring Fling, the news, telling Connor, catching up with everyone, she’d forgotten. Twenty-six. She was now twenty-six years old.
“I don’t understand this. What the actual fuck.” Aaron growled as he held two metal sticks with loops connected at the end. It was a puzzle. In order to solve it, you needed to take apart the two metal rods.
....
“So stop trying to understand me and get to know me, it’s much better for me if everyone just left me alone!” His voice boomed, yells echoing off the walls of the hallway. His palm crashing against the wall with a hallow thwack . The girl was timid and frail, easy enough to scare away. She’d randomly started talking to him at breakfast and wouldn’t leave him alone. His eyes grew cold as he stared at her, watching her chin quiver and fight back tears. “Why are you still standing here? GO!” He bellowed, watching the girl finally shakily run away. He shook his head as he turned, nearly running into someone in the process.
