So I went to Gamestop today and asked this gamerbro salesdude if they had NFC readers and he was mumbling at me in a way that I barely heard him: “NFC readers, huh??? Nah... I don’t think so...” His coworker then pointed me to the Nintendo shelf, so I got the thing and went back and although it was obvious that I wanted to pay for my stuff, gamerbro salesdude ignored me and started audibly talking to another customer who was interested in PS4 games or whatever cool actual gaming shit. It wasn’t even a sales talk, they were just babbling. He kept me waiting for five minutes until the guy who of course didn’t buy anything left the store and took 2000 years to get back to the checkout. I then asked for Amiibo cards and again, got an “Amiibo cards?????????? LOL no, we don’t have those” mumbled at me. Of course they had some... but holy fucking shit, you should probably get a different job if your gamerbro soul doesn’t leave any room for basic human decency in your body?

You all need to stop reblogging from and supporting people who notoriously repost QR codes without permission and often unsourced/uncredited as well, such as acnlpaths, merongcrossing, bidoofcrossing and happyhomecentral. You also need to stop reblogging posts that state the picture (whether QR code or art) was ‘found somewhere’ and is obviously not the person’s own. No matter how cool or cute the QR code/art is, this is theft! And you are supporting it by spreading it! Stop it.

I worked on putting together a master list of HHD resources today, it can be found here. If you have anything to add or think the list is missing something (which it undoubtedly does), please let me know! Questions you have or had playing the game might help as well so I can add the answers to the tips section or create an FAQ or something to go along with the master list. Once it’s more complete than it is at the moment, I will probably post it as well to be reblogged.

Oh right, I just changed my icon, so hi -- mildly disgruntled private investigator Digby is me. This was a piece I commissioned mayorvillager (may your blog rest in peace) with for another blog but hadn’t used since shutting it down and figured with him being pretty present in HHD and I’m repeating myself being one of my fav NPCs, I could finally use it again.

In reference to the last reblog... I’ve been avoiding Isabelle since building the school (mostly bc I don’t want to work with her, hate the completion ceremony and dread the large rooms bc they take ages to finish). And enjoyed how consistent the villagers in town were -- but with the info that these things are actually connected, I guess I will empty that villager pool before building anything else in town. Because I like completing things ‘in order’ and not looking out for villagers who showed up before, hoping they’ll come back when they don’t anytime soon.

Apart from that, it’s pretty interesting to see how people play the game. Most seem to just pick up requests to unlock more furniture and only return to some villagers later to design their homes? It’s also interesting how the rules for the popularity of posts still apply, I assumed there would be a reset or remarkable differences from the New Leaf aesthetic but was obviously wrong... On that note, do you like seeing the German request as the first screenshot? I kind of like everyone getting their heads cut off by it but idk, that may well just be me and I’ll drop it if no one else enjoys seeing it?

And another thing, would people be interested in HHD challenges, with no prerequirements, prizes or votings... just like one theme per week within which you can then submit your design to a blog or something?

After frustratingly long months of looking for and trying out paths, I found a set that I can work with and am 100% happy with! Which means that I can finally start working on Kolk again and actually finish it & make a new dream address next month or so, depending on how devoted/motivated I will be. This also means that in a few days, this blog will have original content again...I am so relieved that I’m able to play again and look forward to working on this town, now that the no. 1 obstacle is cleared.

Active dream town blogs?

Because I got another message about themed dream addresses: I’m the worst person to ask! I’m also the worst with actually visiting dream towns, didn’t even get the first badge for dream visits and only follow around 50 active AC blogs, so... That being said, if anyone either knows of active dream town blogs that maybe even tag the dreams with the towns’ themes or if someone often visits dream towns and has an own tag for them, please let me know and I’ll collect those so you can find dream towns with whatever theme yourself.
