Looking at my blog again, I just realized that the tags are shown in all caps no matter what. While I'm sad I can't emphasize certain words anymore, I am now constantly screaming in the tags at all times.
This pleases me.

when sneaky ship happens
I hate sneaky-ship, because I go in just mildly curious and "I don't think this would work.. lol what is this ship... i mean i guess i get why someone would ship it... OH! FIC. WELL, LET'S SEE HOW DOES THIS WORK?"
...
cut to about three hours later I'm sitting here looking at my life choices and having been sneaky shipped. BUT THE FIC* GAVE ME FEELINGS and tbh outside that context and AU I would not ship it, but in that AU and in that context I GET ALL THE FEELINGS.
SNEAKY SHIP STRIKES AGAIN.
IT IS NOT THE FIRST TIME AND I KNOW, IT WILL NOT BE LAST.
*and it didn't even end happily!!! it ended in the worst ways but I get why they author did it and they clearly wanted a happy ending too because there's an alternate verse full of babies and kittens, which admittedly makes things better, but like the actual fic ending was TERRIBLE EMOTIONS WISE AND IT GAVE ME FEELINGS. AND UGH, SNEAKY SHIPSSSSSSSSSSS WHY DO YOU DO THIS TO ME??
The Wire
This was going (and still is going) on my lj, but I'm posting here bc idk if Rocio got my message and she wanted my thoughts on the show.
I finished watching The Wire. I wasn't expecting for the season to go by so fast! Only ten episodes!
I felt the stories were closed nicely. That everyone's plot was tied off the only way they could have been regarding actions characters took but the thing about this show is that it's so based in telling a story based with a foundation of truth and the idea that these people lived in the world that the endings are only the ending for <i>these</i> stories and these characters will have other stories to tell once the curtain closes. Honestly, I think the only characters that I felt settled with their endings were Lester, Weybay, Chris, and Avon. McNulty is just--I'm both grateful that he's stopped being a cop, even though I honestly do think it was he was best at as much at it hurt him being one and I waver on thinking on how he would adapt to civilian life. Part of me thinks that he could be fine. Season four showed that he functioned in the quieter life, but at the same time he was still a cop. A beat cop, but a cop. Now he's just... what? They called him Natural Murder Police and that's what he was and it made him a shitty person but he was fucking good cop. I like to think he gets calls from Bunk every once in a while about a murder and he helps but since the case isn't his, the job isn't his anymore, he can let go and go home and read the paper with Beadie and the kid. He can read and volunteer and hopefully live his life. And I know I'm wondering about him the most because while everyone was more or less given a little epilogue (bless the epilogue sometimes) he wasn't. His shot was looking out into the city and driving a homeless man (he had used before in an investigation) home. After that it's all a question.
And the thing is while the ending fits for everyone I want to see Kima and Bunk solving murders. I want to see what Sydnor's meet with the judge amounted too (McNulty's footsteps!). I want to see Lester as a lawyer and Rhonda as a judge and what happened to Michael, Randy and Dukie. I want them to be okay! I want to Dukie to meet Bubbles somehow and stop shooting up and find someone to take an interest in him and get better. It broke my heart how Prez knew that Dukie wasn't going to enrol in the GED program but he wanted to believe. But seriously I want Dukie to be okay and not get lost until some cop needs a C.I or is just lost. I want Randy to find another foster parent who takes him in. I wanted Michael to stay with Bug. Idk, I just want these kids to be okay! Namond being cared for and happy makes me wish it more for the others and I fee like D'Angelo in season one.
WHERE'S WALLACE, STRING? WHERE'S WALLACE? [Shit, I want the fricking AU where idk Dee gets out jail early and takes over a halfway house and lol ~adopts everyone.]
But I just want to talk about Omar Little for a second. I was spoiled and read he was going to die and god, <i>how much did I not want that to happen</i>. OMAR LITTLE IS A MASTERPIECE OF A CHARACTER. I CANNOT GET OVER IT. Because I knew the death was coming I wasn't shocked when it happened. HOW IT HAPPENED HOWEVER. Out of nowhere!!!! I was watching with my brother and I looked away for a second while he was in the Korean's shop and BANG! My head snapped back and I thought, 'THAT'S IT? THAT'S HOW OMAR LITTLE LEAVES THE WORLD? THAT CAN'T BE IT. REWIND, BRO, IT CAN'T BE IT.' but it was and I was just O________O This was Omar Little. This was best guy out there. And then we're watching the scene in the morgue and my brother is like, "they switched the bodies?" when you see the coroner look between him and this other dead body and I blink and blink until I get it. Omar Little was mislabelled. Whoever tagged his body bag just messed up out his name tag on the wrong body while working, because they weren't thinking about Omar Little. This was just another dead body to them. It's was Omar, Shotgun Wheeling, Street King. It was just another dead boy and I laughed and told my brother, "Nope, it's just showing how they messed up with the paperwork and labelling." And he went, "Oh." And yeah, for us Omar has been the best. Our shared favourite that's not Everyone Hate McNulty, Jimmy McNulty and they had mislabelled him. It was sad and just hits you in the gut. In the world they lived in this character you cared for was nobody to others. Just a name. [There's a meta post here about characters and how us in fandom feel about them compared to other people who don't think about them the same way we do. Or even how My Character Is Not Your Character. How I feel about Omar Little is not the way you would.]
Which is the end theme of the show: everything changes for those involved but within the grander scheme everything stays the same. These characters didn't change Baltimore. The cops didn't save Baltimore. They didn't clean up the streets or stop the drugs from being sold. The cops stopped <i>some</i>, but others crop up. The street characters didn't run giant cartels and corrupt a city. They lived the lives they always did. The dock workers still worked the docks. (It was actually nice seeing Nick for that hot second.) The reporters didn't change the city with their news. Baltimore stayed the same, for better or worse. It was the characters involved in this story that changed, for better or worse.
And fuck this is long. SHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-IT. /best line in the whole show. Clay Davis, you are a hero2me.

Real Talk: Me and Brother talk A LOT about media. It's 90% of our conversations. Right now we just discussed how I can stand Jesse Eisenberg playing variations of the same socially awkward character, but omg if it's Michael Cera playing variations of the same socially awkward character I want to stab things with sporks, mostly Cera himself.
another day meme i do in one go:
This time it was the fanfic one.
1 – How did you first get into writing fanfic, and what was the first fandom you wrote for? What do you think it was about that fandom that pulled you in?
In a way this is much longer question than saying my first piece of fic posted was for Stargate SG-1 because I feel in love with Vala Mal Doran and with her dynamic and relationship with Daniel Jackson. That's the simple answer because Vala is the reason I bit the bullet, put words on a page, got myself a ff.net account and then a livejournal and why I interacted with fandom in the first place, but she and Stargate where not the first fandom I wrote fic for. That was Sailor Moon way back when I was twelve and first became aware of any kinda of online community where people shared stories they had written. I didn't share my stories back then -- oh the horror at the mere memories of what those fics would have been -- but I still wrote them, I still weaved tales in my mind for and about my favourite characters and have done so ever since.
Why I first published, for all the world to see, my first fic in SG-1 and in the Daniel/Vala fandom that's a bit more complicated because I honestly can't really remember. I think, looking back and really thinking back on it, was I just wanted for of them, for them, and while the fandom was passionate and lively around the time I became aware and joined the fringes of it there just wasn't enough for me. All my other fandoms and ships in the fandom had stories for them that I loved enough that I didn't need the feel to add for them. Eventually I did for a few when I felt more comfortable with my place in fandom, but at first I was okay with what I had for those other fandoms and ships. With Vala and Daniel/Vala there was stuff out there, but I wanted more of it. I wanted more of them. Vala hit me in the gut and I wanted to know more about her, to explore here and if that meant writing for her to get to understand her character better and understand the relationship better then that's what I had to do. Because as much as I learn about the characters from the shows their in I also learn from the people that love them, from the fanfic writers that like getting in their characters head and exploring from the inside out. I've learned more about some characters from fic, or reading about them from other fans, than I do in the shows sometimes and with Vala I felt the push to do that myself with her.
Also Vala is kinda awesome and great fun to write for.
2 – Name the fandoms you've written in, and how much you've written in that fandom, and if you still write in it.
Stargate SG-1: A LOT. LIKE TOO MUCH, and a lot of it I cringe at now, but some I still really love. I do write in it still. At least one fic a year which is a departure from my 20+ fics during 2006-2008.
Stargate Atlantis: Quiet a bit, not as much as SG-1 as SGA and John/Elizabeth (which was the corner of fandom I was interested in) had really good and prolific writers that adding anything there would be giving a morsel to giants. SG-1/SGA crossovers: A FEW. Never say never with gateverse and me.
Aliens (1986): one fic, for yuletide.
Chuck: I dabble. Four fics in total. I write fic when I get the craving and mostly it's Chuck/Sarah, though there's one Bryce/Carina White Collar cross over I'm a little proud of.
Dollhouse: four fics here too. I haven't written since the show stopped and I don't see that changing but it was a wonderful fandom to be part of when it was around.
Firefly/Serenity: three fics, mostly short River character pieces.
Game of Thrones: one fic, Dany/Drogo for a fic meme.
Glee: eight fics, all Puck/Rachel save one, and while I have lulz/hate relationship with the show to the point idk if I'll even tune in next season I do love the ship enough I won't say I won't pick up the characters again.
Heroes: three fics, short character pieces. No plans to write for them again. (oh and two crossovers with Sarah Connor Chronicles!)
Leverage: one fic. I won't say I'll never write for this fandom again.
LOST: three fics, all Sawyer/Juliet, and I have one WIP I will finish for this fandom if it kills me. After that I can't say I'll write for it again for sure.
Lost Girl: one fic, found on AO3, for yuletide. Merlin: seven fics, with no plans to continue writing for it.
Robin Hood (BBC): one fic, with no future plans.
Step Up (film): one fic, because I love Kay.
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles: three fics, one WIP i plan to finish one day and no plans after.
Thor (2011): three fics and counting. THIS FILM, THIS FANDOM, SIF/LOKI, CURRENT LOVES OF MY LIFE.
Tron: Legacy: one fic, no future plans.
The Vampire Diaries: one fic, no other plans.
Veronica Mars: one kinda horrible fic I should delete.
Sailor Moon: ONLY FOUND ON A03 BC I'M A WIMP AND WROTE UNDER ANOTHER NAME FOR SM. WHY? IDK for the longest time all I talked about was all scifi and gateverse all the time it felt easier putting all my anime fangirl shit separate. and few crossovers here and there.
All fic found here or here.
3 – For each of the fandoms from day two, what were your favorite characters to write?
Vala (SG1), River (Firefly), Puck and Rachel (Glee), Darcy (Thor), Sif, (Thor), but I like to write them all because why would I write for someone I didn't like.
4 – Do you have a "muse" character, that speaks to you more than others, or that tries to push their way in, even when the fic isn't about them? Who are they, and why did that character became your muse?
VALA MAL DORAN WILL MAKE EVERY STORY ABOUT HER IF I LET HER. Idk, I think Vala's energy is so familiar to me that I can twist any story to fit her. I have certain characters who's POV I just get easier and she is definitely one of them. Others are Darcy in Thor fandom, which is a little odd for me because I write mostly Sif/Loki and they're my OTP but I can slip into Darcy's voice quite easily.
5 –If you have ever had a character try to push their way into a fic, whether your "muse" or not, what did you do about it?
Darcy, Unexpected Every Time, as I had planned a fluffy five times Sif/Loki Are Domestic Together fic but then the idea of Darcy catching them during sex cropped up and I just ran with it for about 4-6k.
6 – When you write, do you prefer writing male or female characters?
Female characters tend to be my way into any fandom, and I'll write them more, but I'll write both female or male characters depending on which character speaks louder for the fic.
7 – Have you ever had a fic change your opinion of a character?
Yes, a few times.
8 – Do you write OCs? And if so, what do you do to make certain they're not Mary Sues, and if not, explain your thoughts on OCs.
Mary Sue is such a complicated and muddied term now, because if you make a character too anything they're deemed a Mary Sue, especially when you make them good at something, but I don't often write OCs so... I don't because mostly when I write I tend to focus on a certain relationship, whether romantic or familial or friendship that already exists in canon. Sometimes I'll add an OC for a background character and to fatten up another character's past or plot but it's rare. I'm boring and stick with what I know.
9 – Pairings – For each of the fandoms from day two, what are your three favorite pairings to write?
LOL. Okay, there's a lot. DANIEL/VALA FOREVER (SG-1), John/Elizabeth and Jennifer/Ronon (SGA), Puck/Rachel (Glee), Hardison/Parker (Leverage), Sawyer/Juliet and Juliet + Desmond (LOST), SIF/LOKI LIFE RUINERS (Thor), Minako, Senshi/Shitennou (SM).
10 – Pairings – Have you ever gone outside your comfort zone and written a pairing you liked, but found you couldn't write, or a pairing you didn't like, and found you could?
Half of my stuff is an exercise in either of these. John/Elizabeth, idky i write them when there's better writers for them out there. Ditto for Sif/Loki, I should just give up. Hardison and Parker are a bit of trail for me as are Stefan/Elena. The fact I could write Jenn/Ronon shocked me and ditto for Bryce/Carina.
Honestly, the only ships I'll ever feel comfortable writing for will be Daniel/Vala and lulzy Puck/Rachel.
11 – Genre – do you prefer certain genres of fic when you're writing? What kind do you tend to write most?
FLUFF. AUs. COP/SPY/SPACE AUs. HUMOUR/FLUFF. PORN.
12 – Have you ever attempted an "adaptation" fic of a favorite book or movie but set in a different fandom?
Yes? All of my AUs I feel are adaptations.
13 – Do you prefer canon or fanon when you write? Has writing fanfic for a fandom changed the way you see some or even all of the original source material?
I prefer both. I use both. Canon feeds into the fic, but at one point what I create in my minds and the details of little things that happen in fic become my own personal fanon and that then feeds into other fics I write. Also other fanons found in fics I read adds to characters as you pick up details from other writers that feel right but you did not find out for yourself. Fanon does sometimes change the source material, in some ways, it has too because it helps add layers to the source material that will feed into the way you relate with it.
14 – Ratings – how high are you comfortable with going? Have you ever written higher? If you're comfortable with NC-17, have you ever been shocked by finding that the story you're writing is G-rated instead?
I'LL READ EVERYTHING.
15 – Warnings – What do you feel it most important to warn for, and what's the strangest thing you've warned for in a fic?
dub-con, rape, character death, some kinks; idk pre-slash, I think. lol what is even that?
16 – Summaries – Do you like them or hate them? How do you come up with them, if you use them?
I like them, but they can be hard to make. Sometimes when I can't think of one I'll just use a sentence for the first section of the fic that sets a mood.
17 – Titles – Are they the bane of your existence, or the easiest part of the fic? Also, if you do chaptered fic, do you give each chapter a title, or not?
BANE. WHEN IN DOUBT OPEN ITUNES AND FIND A SONG. I've done chaptered fic and some fic need chapter titles but not all.
18 – Where do you get the most inspiration for your fics (aka "bunnies") from?
songs, ideas for missing scenes, prompts, other fic, random ideas.
19 – When you have bunnies, do you sit down and start writing right away, or do you write down the idea for further use?
Depends on the day. I'll probably start writing until I can't anymore or will write main sentences as I outline the idea.
20 –Do you ever get bunnied from other people's stories or art in the same fandom?
Oh yeah, for sure. However I will admit I always feel like a cheat when this happens with someone else story and will sometime shelf that particular idea until I'm more comfortable with my own view on in and not feel like I'm copying someone's thought.
21 – Sequels – Have you ever written a sequel to a fic you wrote, and if so, why, and if not, how do you feel about sequels?
I have and it's been more of the fact that the end of one fic opened up the beginning of another or it's an open AU. As it is, if a sequel happens, it happens.
22 – Have you ever participated in a fest or a Big Bang? If so, write about your favorite experience in relation to one. If not, are there any you've thought about doing? And if not, why not?
Lol, yes. SGA big bang 2009, I think. IDK HOW ME AND KAY DID IT. AND IDKY I'M WRITING TWO BIGBANGS NOW. I like doing them, especially when I'm writing with Kay, because it's the most fun writing with her. I also like working towards a deadline at times. I'm good at deadlines if the fic cooperates.
23 – When you post, where do you post to? Just your journal? Just an archive? Your own personal site?
My journal, then AO3. I used to post more regularly at ff.net, but haven't in a while.
24 – Betaing – How many betas do you like to use to make sure there aren't any major flaws in your fic? Do you have a Beta horror story or dream story?
I should have someone to beta more. I, horribly, normally don't, unless I can wrangle Kay to do so, because um, I don't really have a regular beta or betas on retainer. I wish I did, because I have a horrible tendency to miss little things even on the third pass, fourth, fifth pass. SPAG is not my forte, I know it, I should be better at this finding a beta, but I also have the worst patience in the world and if I can't get a beta in 48 hours I just post. Beta's however are god sends when you do have them. No, no good or bad story. Kay tends to be the best and betas shit for me even when she doesn't have time and I love her for it.
25 – Music – Do you listen to music while you write? Do you make playlists to get into a certain "mood" to write your fic? Do you need noise in general? Or do you need it completely quiet?
Oh yeah, I love music when I write. Sometimes I'll have playlist for certain fic to help me get with the mood and tone and want. I can write with the quiet too and sometimes will find myself having written for hours in silence without meaning too.
26 – What is the oddest (or funnest) thing you've had to research for a fic?
I've bookmarked the oddest stuff for fic research. Greek, Latin, Norse Myths, Parkinson research, police forms, hawaiian tv channels, how to make street drugs, guns, airships, too much stuff. And whenever I plan I fight that I just can't picture easily I act it out.
27 – Where is your favorite place to write, and do you write by hand or on the computer?
I'll sometimes make handwritten notes in notebooks and plan things in them, a scene outline or two, but mostly I write on my laptop in my room, in my chair.
28 – Have you ever collaborated with anyone else, whether writing together, or having an artist work on a piece about your fic?
KAY KAY KAY KAY KAY. The other half of my brain.
29 – What is your current project or projects?
the big ones:
Big bang one: SGA AU; Jenn/Ronon with Kay.
Big bang two; Sif/Loki -- KILLING ME. I think I'm talking and thinking myself out of my own fic. D:
the little ones:
about three Thor WIPs.
one LOST fic.
one NCIS: LA fic. (for Kay, and all her fault.)
30 – Do you have a favorite fic you've written? What makes it your favorite? And don't forget to give us a link!
lol, it's probably shit thinking back on it and it's still a WIP, but I have and will always have mad affection for Chains of Freedom. ONE DAY I WILL GO BACK TO THIS AND IT WILL BE GOOD.
out of my better fics: Lost in the Veins of this City and Like Spinning Plates. Lol, these are both fics I've worked on with Kay. Okay I should give you a solo job too. Um, back to the top of the slide we go, which was fun planning Vala'a space adventures with Elizabeth I never really continued.
in the end i hate everything i write
okay, this got long.
Huh, I think I've just realised something re: ships in crime dramas and why I like certain crime dramas over others. Crime dramas, or most of the ones I watch, tend to fall into two categories: Dramas with Team Dynamics as the forefront and Dramas with a Ship Dynamic as the forefront. Eg. NCIS and Bones. NCIS is mainly about The Team and you can ship whoever within the team with whoever else as your shipping preferences tend to fall or you don't ship anyone and just like the team. Then there's a show like Bones in which the show is mainly about The Ship and how they work together and generally there's other characters backing them up making up a Team; the Ship can have relationship with the other members of the ensemble, friends, co-workers, personal, whatever, but at the end of the day it's the Ship, in this case Booth and Brennan that the show is structured around.
It works in both cases. But something happens with the show where The Ship is the main dynamic and unless done right and unless there's a plan to get the two characters in a ship together they dynamic of push and pull can get old. As it does for me. I'm noticing as I watch NCIS: LA, thinking about why I can mainline a season in about two days while just the idea of tuning into Bones or Castle exhausts me, why parts of season three of Chuck were trying to watch. I know in the former two shows it's about B/B or B/C getting together ~at some point~ but there's only so much Will They Won't They I can take. Chuck had it too but I think by season three they realise, "this show was drawn around Chuck and Sarah and how they would eventually get together and there's only so many people we can put between them before this gets old." so they shot Shaw and had Chuck and Sarah bang for three days on a train (true story!!!) and as a fan of the show and the ship it was like HALLELUJA! FINALLY! Bones is on it's sixth (?) season of Push and Pull, Will They Won't They? and Castle, which I give a little leeway too bc it's still a fairly new show, on it's third season. And I'm not saying that a show has to be about it's male and female lead getting together but when you advertise the show and the way you write the show on that premise I would expect some sort of end point where they a) get together, b) don't or c) decide they're better as friends and it's mutual.
With NCIS: LA (or NCIS or Hawaii 5-O, as other crime dramas I watch) I don't expect that. I don't really expect a ship endgame, as much as I hate the word, because while it would be AWESOME that Tony and Ziva would get together and make out and have little ninja babies that can quote every Kubrick film, I know the show probably won't ever do that. I don't expect the show to do that. I can live easier with the scenes I get for them because in the end the show's premise isn't about their journey as couple or becoming a couple or even really their relationship, but about the team's relationship with each other. It's about Tony/Ziva/Abby/McGee/Ducky/Gibbs/(Palmer)/Vance and how they work together. Yes, as I watch I tend to focus on the Ziva, Tony/Ziva aspects of the show because that's what I'm interested in and after about six years even here I would appreciate a yes or no for them, but I don't really expect it. I think they're relationship within the show's context isn't currently being written as I'd like it to be but they still have wonderful moments that I like. This whole epiphany is kinda making realise why I'm enjoying NCIS: LA so much atm. I love Kensi/Deeks, and they're the reason I'm watching, but I knew going in that I'd probably get 20% of them within the 100% Team Dynamic.
With shows like Bones or Castle we get 40% team dynamics within the 100% Ship Dynamic and that's cool too, there's no right or wrong to it. I don't mind shows when the ship is at the forefront either, but after a certain point I like feeling that the time I've put into the ship wasn't wasted.
Blah blah blag long story short: crime dramas centered around ships instead of teams tend to get old fast unless the show is confident in handling the ship and has a plan for them. Otherwise it's six years later and you want to smack people*. This applies for ships within team based show too--actually this should apply for all shows in which writers decide to introduce a ship they want to explore seriously.
*oh, this sentence made me think about SG-1 (team based scifi) and Sam/Jack and how the show when on for 10 years and they never got a set resolution save random hints here and there and THIS IS WHAT I MEAN. Have a plan, show runners and don't be afraid of it! With S/J in SG-1 it was just painful to watch at some point.
Okay, so this got long and might not make any sense unless you live in my brain. Kay, you should be fine then.
~
Besides watching NCIS: LA all day -- THANK YOU, KAY. REALLY, THANK YOU. LIKE I NEED ANOTHER SHOW IN MY LIFE WHERE THEY'RE BANTERING PARTNERS AND A DUDE THAT COULD PASS FOR LIKE THOR'S SURFER GOOFIER COUSIN OR SOMETHING AND ROBIN AND LL COOL J WHO ARE LIKE CLEARLY MARRIED AND HETTY WHO IS AMAZING. THANK YOU, I HATE YOU. I'D LIKE YOU TO KNOW. -- and capping the relevant to my interest Kensi/Deeks scenes (ihateyoukaysomuch), I've been moving things to my tetrabyte.
BLESS THIS TETRABYTE. I would marry it if I could, it basically holds 85% of my shows/caps/files right now. I'd cry if something happen to it.
I've gained like 20GB in my laptops HD today. 12 of those GB being V season two which hurts to put away because I've keep it on the laptop since it aired even if rewatching is too painful right now. FOREVER BITTER ABOUT THIS, ABC. But I liked seeing it there, you know, as a reminder it did exist and it was glorious and i loved it. Lol, I even did a double check that they were on the tetrabyte before deleting them from the computer. So score, 20GB back in memory. wooooooooo. I love this thing. I should name it, but I don't know what else to call it beside: The Most Amazing Thing I Could Have Ever Bought
So yeah that's what I've been basically doing since 8am when I should have been plotting or working on other things. #like a boss
Random Thor Talk Post of the Day!
I was watching a YT clip of Hulk vs. Thor, an animated movie, and I know my comics canon okay, I'm not an expert or anything, but I know that characters we see in the film are adapted versions of what the comics give. This particular animated film centres round Loki controlling the Hulk to pretty much kick Thor's ass. And I KNOW that how it goes in like 90% of comic Thor canon. But! The film Thor (2011) has coloured my world so much and I'm just like WHAT IN FLUFFY!THOR HEL IS THIS? Loki loooooves is brother! He might hate his dad and has every reason to be mad at Odin, but HE LIKE LOVES THOR. WHY ARE YOU TELLING ME THIS IS NOT TRUE, WORLD? IT DOES NOT COMPUTE.
And Sif and Thor are together--yes, I know comic book and Norse canon here too-- and still I'm all WAHT ABOUT JANE? WHERE'S JANE? (on Earth!) WHAT ABOUT SIF/LOKI? Okay, not really that last part because that mostly lives in my soul now and fabulous fandom and Norse mythology, tolololo. So I'm utterly flummoxed when I'm presented another version of Thor narrative that is not the film or Thor: The Mighty Avenger (which is sunshine and rainbows!) But then I step back and find this all hilarious because LOL LOKI WHAT IS THAT PONYTAIL YOU BE SPORTING??? HIS HAIR KILLS ME. Also, what up, other Asgard characters! You all amuse me even if I'm still don't understand this world where Loki hates Thor, because yeah even at the end of the Thor (2011) I still don't think the brothers hate each other.
Then! I decided to check out Tales of Asgard, and wikipedia tells me nothing really except: it's something like The Young Adventures of Thor, so ngl I might check that one out bc um, TEEN THOR! TEEN LOKI! BROTHERS BEING BROS. I think I might check it out. There doesn't seem to much of Sif, in the trailer, but hopefully there's more in the actual animated film. It reminds me a bit of Mem's fic where Thor and Loki go into the Underway and adventure ensues, but only they're clearly older and going to Joutenhim to get a space sword. But ADVENTURE! QUESTS! BROS BEING BROS!
Ngl, guys, animated comic narratives tend to be my favourites sometimes. Most comics I shy away from unless they're recced to me, because I know how much they can fuck with characters. But eg. DCAU is flawless and I love X-Men: Evolution sfm.
I also rewatched the film... again, and man I have such feelings towards certain line/moments that I made a list. This is list long and full of feelings! Then I, lol, watched every Sif/Loki scene like a billion times and rewind the end scenes like a million more because I love how Thor and Jane handle the situation that arises. Angst? THEY DON'T KNOW THE MEANING OF IT. ~doing it on rainbows~
