honestly i know some shitbag on tumblr is going to come at me with some response to this thats just “piss yourself” but i hate how people act towards ace people. most of what all ace people are saying, in my opinion, is that there is a social bias to not being hypersexual/participating in sexual acts. but the minute anyone speaks about that everyone is just “LMAO STOP TRYING TO OUT OPPRESS EVERYONE” which is not to point at all. there is a bias against us, and everyone is just proving that by being like this. everyone tells me that i’ll change my mind or that i havent “experienced it correctly” which shouldnt even matter! you can be in love romantically without sexual acts how hard or revolutionary is that?
even more i hate how somehow my asexuality cancels out my wlw part of me. im romantically into girls but im not into sex, but this is damn near incomprehensible for most people. part of this has to do with the hypersexualization of lgbt culture (and ill be real blunt y’all most of the community isnt helping) and the other part is the sexualization of girls anyway. you have to want to fuck to be considered “real” in the eyes of others, even other lesbians!
idk man all this stuff just hurts me because in reality hypersexualization of culture is really toxic to my health and how no one seems to take my identity seriously
