FYI to new college students: Your school’s bookstore is almost certainly lying to you about the price of books on other sites
For Example (just my econ textbook)
The school bookstore doesn’t even offer to rent the book and it would cost $110 to buy it new since there are no used books available
the price comparison chart on the bookstore site claims that it will cost $105 to rent it from Chegg
How much it will actually cost from Chegg
$32.49
Put simply, definitely check the prices on the other sites, do not trust the bookstore’s price comparisons (and it will almost always be cheaper to get your books from somewhere other than the bookstore)
